Untill few months back, there used to be a stalemate between the King and the Maoists. The Maoists have taken over many places in Nepal, but their revolution is not successful until they take over the capital. They could not possibly take over the capital because of the Army. The Army is under the kings control and it is impossible for the Maoists to fight the Kings Army in the capital. SCENE IN THE CAPITAL: The democratic parties have a lot of supporters and say in the capital BUT they are not strong enough to overthrow the King. THE MAOIST STRATEGY: Using the Democratic Parties as a pawn in thier greater scheme of things, the Maoist incite the Democratic Parties to call strikes and large processions, whereby they infiltrate the crowds and force the Kings govt. to attack the public. THE GENERAL CONSENSUS: The general public believes that the King is corrupt and not a good ruler. So they only need some inciting before they go out in the streets. Once the general consensus is now to get rid of the King who has unjustly killed off peaceful demonstrators and innocent people. THE AFTERMATH: The wrath of the crowd in Kathmandu Valley is enough to overthrow the king. The king gets thrown out/killed. The Democratic Parties celebrate for a short time before they start feeling the pressure of the Maoists from all sides of the capital. Without the Army being controlled by one point of reference, noone can stop the Maoists from taking control of the capital. THE STRATEGY IS WORKING: What we need to decide right now is do we want the Maoist to rule us or the King? The democratic party are just wishful thinkers who wish for a utopia but will fail miserably as soon as their fight is over. WE THE COMMONERS: We need to see beyond the current situation in Nepal and decide for ourself if Maoists Rule is what we want. If that is the case, we need to go ahead and support the Democratic Party in the street to topple the King. As soon as the King is toppled, these Democratic Parties will be swatted off like flies by the Maoist guns. Although democracy is something to die for, the consequent Maoist rule would be such an unfortunate irony for the deaths of thousands who are seeking democracy. PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE TO AS MANY AS YOU CAN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

It is not of choosing between King and Maoists! If people would get rid of King with 80,000 strong armies, why would they be afraid of Maoists with mere 10,000 ill equiped armies? They could get rid of Maoists as well very easily. This time people are real angry, they are going fix all these mess, and take care of all these scoundrels.

Never had “our†king noticed that he was making his own coffin until recently. I am just too ridiculed with our king’s poor vision. He had never realized that this grave situation will appear when he killed King Birendra and his blood. It doesn’t matter to me whether he was induced by a third party to conclude our history’s bloodiest massacres. He is a poor designer, a completely blind person and a total loss to our country. This thread only supports the cowards and all the people who want to be a follower/listener rather than a listener. Despite having so much hatred to King Gyanendra and the seven party alliance, I still want our king to speak up and give some smart agenda to all the people in the country both intellects and ignorant. But foremost, I want a true leader who can advise the intellects and enlighten blind followers. But this time I’ll go for the Maoists , hope they’ll follow the democratic and capitalist ideology.

" This thread only supports the cowards and all the people who want to be a follower/listener rather than a listener. " Should be "rather than a listener"

I'm thinking too much right now, can't write it correctly. An unsynchornization with the fingers and my brain. should be " rather than a leader" instead of "rather than a listener"

I agree with IcanFly.... Give Maoists a chance? Well, they failed horribly in the 2047 election...so they went underground. Let's not forget that. So far, Maoists say one thing and do another. They rule by the politics of Fear.....The style of governance is authoritative....everyone will follow what they say or will get killed.......... 2 days ago, Moaists kidnapped 50-60 youngsters of a village in Pokhara, and gave them rifles to join their fight...Don't tell me that's fair......Those kids, between the ages of 13-26 were scared, had no chance to say 'NO' and were simply forced to fight for Moaists revolution....News like this may not appear on newspapers but is true...coz I had my distant cousin kidnapped. I wish I had the power to Hang Prachanda and Gayne, both at the same time...but I'm powerless.....they will kill me before I even try it....... I am ready for a change, bu I don't think Maoist and Ganatantra is the answer....Oh, the thing about China, China is communist country just for the name sake....It is the one of the biggest Capitalistic country in the world....and is becoming more open to the West..........

Hirosi, I think it would be shorsightedness to say that Maoists have changed their views. They are becoming more extreme and will go to any end to achieve power whatever it takes. We should be very careful about them. The political parties should immediately distance themselves from the Maoists.

Also, there is no question of approving the current protest programmes done with support of Maoists. It should be and will be supressed at any cost unless the parties disassociate themselves from the Maoists. Otherwise, what kind of example are we going to set? As past week has shown, there is absolytely no chance of this protest being successful to achieve democracy. If they leave Maoists behind, I think they have a better chance in the future.
