Okay, My monitor got messed up. It was working fine last nite then i turned it off, everything was alright.. I tried turning it on this morning but the monitor didnt work, It said " Monitor is in power save mode..activate using pc" right.. then i hit lotta keys to see if it works..then i also checked the power code and all wires and stuffs which my freind told me to do.. but it still wouldnt work.. now it says " monitor is working, check the signal cable.... red, white, blue, green" in a small box....but it still don't work??I guess the mintor is not detecting any signal from the computer... Do anyone of you guys know, what the problem iss? heeeeelppp pleasee!!!

CPU= your main processor that makes everything work like pentium 4 3 2 1 celeron, centrino and all that. it doesn't make sounds of XP. your monitor is not connected to CPU, its connected to your graphics card that works with CPU.

graphics card = a card inside your computer that works with CPU and other "computer related parts" to create a visual in your monitor.

if ur computer shows monitor has no signal, then your graphics card might have been damaged or DISABLED. aba tyo check garna u have to enter BIOS mode when starting up. if we explain that to you, will take about a month to make u understand :P jk jk.

so if its disabled, and u get a new card, and open up your box, and put replace your graphics card, it might work, if your current graphics card is damaged. and fountain is mentioning AGP or PCI. all AGP card, accelerated graphics processors, i think what it is, have been the same kind, but if ur computer is newer then the PCI cards have changed. so instead of asking here and trying to figure out whats wrong and getting more confused, take it to best buy whenever u want to. seems like u're not in a rush, but take it to a computer store, like best buy, comp usa, or whatever is closest around you that repairs computers.

I dont see no BIOS on the screen
Now how am i supposed to enter the BIOS mode while I can't see anything on the screen, all the screen says is "monitor is working, check the signal cable red blue green white.."
So the solution is that i gotta replace the "graphic card" OMG thats so complicated!! Nothing had gone so bad with my computer beforee and I didnt even do anything!! why did the "graphic card" fire LOL hehehe
o yea that morning i was vacuuming my room and it touched some wires of the computer.. would that make any problem to the CPU?
I just wanna know how that happened

anyway, get a new computer, a decent one like thapap said, for $400 or + or buy a better graphics card like nVIDIA or ATI company, which costs from 100 to 500 :D

vacuuming don't make a computer go nuts. unless u had the chassis(the case) of ur computer open, and u touched inside parts. make sure the cable is tight on computer and. take off the cable and put it back again. restart.

i don't think it would solve the problem, but try it anyway. if not, then take it to a repair shop or call someone that knows how to fix. if u were around DC, i'd help but timi kata ma kata :P

Okay sorry baby about the computer jargon. You can buy a decent AGP card for about $50. So if you don't wanna let go of your computer, that's one option. One advice though, don't do it yourself. Find someone who knows as you might fry your new AGP card also. If you buy a new computer, you can still use your old hard drive. But that requires some PC expertise also to connect wires and set jumpers and also you won't be able to access locked files unless you use the operating system installed on that hard drive (ie make your old hard drive the primary hard drive). So yeah find somebody who knows about PC hardware. I would advice you to send a email to a few people in school or work and ask them if they can help fix your graphics card. I think you can also take your computer to Best Buy and ask them to fix it but I have no idea how much they charge. :D

Yeah, My monitor is fine, I connected it in a different CPU and it worked fine!!, The problem is that the graphic adapter is gone, me not sure though!!
Well my monitor connection port is sorda loose too...............

instead of trying your monitor to some other CPU, you should have tried some other monitor to your CPU, and this might give you to a better conclusion. got it?

I did connect a different monitor in the CPU as well silly! me not that dumb!! and the other monitor didnt work with that CPU either!! Its the CPU thats not working....:P
