Nepalmountainnews Report | 22 Dec 2008
Unofficial reports have it that Nepali Congress President Girija
Prasad Koirala’s repeated plea to meet ousted King Gyanendra Shah has
been rejected.
According to Shekhar Koirala- youth leader of the
Nepali Congress, senior Koirala’s perennial petition to meet ex-King
Gyanendra was rejected by Gyanendra himself.
Similarly, Chief of
the Army Staff Mr. Rookmangad Katawal’s pleas to meet the ex-queen
mother Ratna too have been rejected reports vernacular weekly Sanghu.
The Nepal Army chief is talked to be the adopted son of Queen Ratna.
King
Gyanendra of late has been meeting political leaders of various shades
and inquiring about the political situation in the country.
Rakesh
Sood- Indian ambassador to Nepal, Kamal Thapa-RPP-Nepal President,
Pashupati Sumsher Rana- RPP President and Surya Bahadur Thapa- RJP
(Rastriya Janshakti Party) President have already called on ex-monarch
in the recent days.
Mr. S.B. Thapa immediately after meeting
King Gyanendra appears to have left for New Delhi- the Mecca of Nepali
politics or else he should have been in the news.
However,
Koirala’s repeated request to see the king in person and the straight
denial from the former monarch, say analysts, was obvious.

well, you stupid, king is gone. Gagan Thapa can't be elected as a king, nor do Prachanda. Just fu(king change your mode of thinking, there is no king, gyanendra is gone, and there will not be another king, that's what republic means. What a jerk. What was your father duing Panchayat? Some ass kisser of king who got a few free land in birta and provided your brother a job using hukum pramangi?

One thing for sure, King did not give the last constitution, we were the one . If they really acted in favor of Democracy rather than themselves and their party, they would not have given any power to king. That is our fault.
We did it, I mean our leaders are doing it. Our party leader are as corrupted as king but it sounds much more than the king. Because our leaders from the people and should act in favor of Peoples.

What is going on guys? I found it interesting debate!
'Pire' whoever is has a Nepali feelings and guts: to be ruled by self, that is where we are heading to, I would say. This maoist crap ain't gonna sustain for long.
Now, what are these two fellas "Syanjali and Raju' talking about? You folks have smaller head than did the Negro during cotton field era. Grow up folks. People in Nepal have better plans than u do. They want change. They wanna-ted give chances to some promising folks, like they did for X-King Gyanendra (let's show some respect), Pranchanda, and so on at different moments.
Who is gonna govern the Nepal? Depends on Nepalese folks, and also on how politicians play the game. I don't who is gonna come next but I can tell you for sure: every next government is gonna be better than previous.
Keep going guys. Positive debate is helpful to purify your slave-era head!!
Cheers!

First of all Nepal is one of the poorest country in the world. I know there is no any means that we can rely on for its development but water resources. There was a nation wide survey within our country way long ago and no one figured out the essential ore or minerals or anything else ...Concerning water resources to built one hydro power project it costs around US $ 40 million. Now don't say one hydro power project can enlight whole nepal and don't say hey what about selling YARSAGUMBA hahah ....After reading your articles i saw that we are kinda better off wow what a feeling i got seeing them. What you think this is a joke India is far more developed then our country at least we can say we are nothing in comparison with them do you think they are stable? Do you think that their Rupublic governance has fed all their citizens? Can you imagine how many people die from hunger and starvation every year in India? Can you tell how many kinds of terrorist are their in India? No you all are stupid and lack the vision of farsightedness. Well India might develop one day coz it has got all the infrastructures of development. But not we guys please stop day dreaming i see lot of dreams here Laxmi Prasad Devkota once told "Is Nepal really Small?"....i ask the same thing "Is nepal really that unique" that we can depend on these thugs who can take it to the plight of development hahahh what a stupid noway.
another Example it would be my foolishness to compare Nepal with India .
Nepal which stands in 93rd position in comparison of area stands at 142 in HDI so you can take it to the peak of developed list with your so called republic goverment handeled by bunch of thugs who were cowbows in the past and now hold 5 stored house in ktm and around 50 bighas or more land in different parts of country what a fagots and brainwashed sense i see developing here. Just tell me which of these netas of today that turned Nepal in to federal Democratic republic of Nepal is truely concerned with the issues of Nepal. Why are their fagots like YCL in the street? why are guys who are going to schools carrying guns and killing their friends in Jungle? Why people are attracking the journalists? why people are having 16 hour of electricity cut off? Why people in the far west are still dying of hunger and food shortage and why people in the central are dying by accidents of bus falling in Trishuli ? Why the petroleun that couple of month ago sold in $100 a barrel is now sold in $ 36.67 in US and far there in nepal same price is sticking within the ass of Nepalese? Why their are groups like limbuwan, khumbuwan, chure bhawar, madhese, tharu, dhimal, janajati blabla who were once known as Nepalese are now seeking their kingdom and their identity? Its been more then hundred days why there is not even the word of KHA is written in the name of constitution drafting? We its useless now to say i studied science and hoped to get engineering degree from nepal finally fled and i am at united states now- why do i feel i made a right move at the right time? why i am feeling so disappointment with the day to day happenings in our country?
the only reason is Federal Republic of Nepal its useless to say democratic coz the word has lost its meaning ....now in Nepal....I wish King will be back and take control of falling situation in our country.

and this is for gogurkha hey not only pire we all have a nepali feeling and gut and we all want to see Nepal reaching that height where laxmi prasad devkota once said Nepal being unity in diversity is small but though it is small it is unique, it is big and it is rich in itself. I believe only the Person like King Ganendra who stepped down giving up Luxurious palace to the hands of pathetic thugs only can make my dream come true. talking about Paras let me tell you he lacks the quality of being a true Nepali and his fate will rely entirely on the hands of Nepalese and king when he will come back to power......if King ganendra can step down for the betterment and well being of nepal he obviously will come back to heal the worsening wound of Nepalese...
Jai Nepal

point to be noted.. well, i don't think that maoist have done anythings apartfrom taking nepal backwards..they only thing which they did was took the crown from King that's it.. our country is dark age.. from this monday its 12 hrs loadshading and after 1 month its going to be 16 hrs.. they were the one who attacked all the hydro eletricity projects... they were to blame for this unlimited loadshading.. .. well, let keep in praying for Nepal.. God Bless Nepal.... but atleast we nepali here in US be unit and help for each other....who knows tomorrow anyone from US may get chance to lead nepal..

I don't believe you guys are serious with those questions! I don't see anything to do with Maoists or raja or girira for the bus falling in Trisuli. The only reason is poverty and you cannot blame it to any particular party or group. All the political parties and king has contributions, little or more!! ______________________________________________________________________________ I don't have any problem for you supporting King; everybody got freedom and choices to make. We don't need no White Elephant, it is gone and is past already. We only need a strong government that sees the people from Nepalese eyes not Indian's. Not sure (yet) about Maoists but, UML and Congress are for the sure the two expanded the Indian feeling in Nepal. All the corrupted bastards have to be into the Khor, no matter the scale of crime. I don't see nobody strong enough to carry out that. Am just waiting for the right Junge to take actions! *I don't believe on communism neither. I just cannot trust anybody; all have done enough damage to be qualified to get hanged.

We don't deserve to be ruled by anybody. All I want to see is all Nepalese treated equal. If I or anybody, as a regular Nepali go to jail for life for certain crime, I want to see king, prachanda, baburam, girija etc. go to jail for life too for the same crime. All we need is some brave hearts to make this happen. Lets send them to jail or nail or hell whatever they deserve. Fk them all!

Its true that we dont deserve to be ruled by anybody but we need some one who can lead our country to an ideal nation and that is only the king. Neither of these political parties are dedicated for the nations and the citizens. What they fight is for power. But whoever rules should be under the constitution.

Guys u r digressing.. Why do u think Girija tried to meet the ex-King? I think it was just a ploy of Girija to create suspicion in the minds of Maoists (as if he has smth big up his sleeves).. he wants to make Maoists yield to him and shift the momentum of power towards himself. But the ex-King understands that he is to be used as a pawn so he simply rejected....
