Summer is not too far. Despite a busy lifestyle, many of us are striving to get that regal six pack. So why not document our progress? Let's share our pics, tips, and tricks that would be helpful to all of us working on it and motivational to the couch dwellers. What say?

Thanks KB bro.....like I said earlier, it is never too late to make a start. Discipline and determination is what we lack. We tend to give up so easily. I also started after years of procrastination. Go ahead and restart again!
Nas, never cease to love yourself. Restart again and get that mutha[Disallowed String for - Bad word 'fuk']ka abs to reveal itself! hahaha!!!

lamopuri bro and to all whom it may concern:

What w/outs do you guys do for abs. Some say (experts) alternate the abs w/outs, others say it doesn't matter. What is appropriate. Please advise. I will post my pic in about 2 months. Thanks.

Laalmon, thanks for your comment. I normally alternate my abs w/outs. I perform it only about 2 times a week. It is not actually about abs workout; instead try to bring your body fat percentage down to about 7-8%. Don't focus on only abs but do a full body workout. Compound exercise helps a lot.

Kta manche, I do not take any supplements. Just protein shakes sometimes. It all boils down to hard work, proper nutrition, ample sleep, and discipline.

@Laalmon Bro - Compound exercises are multi-joint movements that work several muscles or muscle groups at one time like bench press, dead lifts, squats...

I concur with lamopuri bro that compound exercise is the way to reduce abdominal fat or to reduce overall weight, but I've got a situation. My wife started working out after a few months after she gave birth to our baby girl 2 years ago. Since then she's been working out on daily basis. She didn't gain much weight to begin with, but still she has lost some weight and her body is perfectly fit except for her belly fat that's been so out of proportion as to the loss of body fat due to the exercise she performs on daily basis.

She does 40-minute exercise daily. 10 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of compound, and 20 minutes of abs.

Anybody has some first hand experience or done some research on this? Is there such a thing that will help you lose just the belly fat?

Slackdemic, unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot fat burning. In fact, belly fat is so stubborn that it is the last to go and first to arrive, if you know what I mean. Life would be so much easier if you could just burn belly fat, isn't it?

thanks Porsche2014. But I think I have hit a plateau. With the kind of lifestyle and Job I have, I don't think I can get that elusive chiseled abs. So it's more about maintenance now! :I
