I had gone to Nepal after 4.5 years and none of those things applied to me.
I just get surprised by how much people get americanised after staying in US for 2-3 years.

when I was in chitwan,
everytime I said Thankyou to the helpers in one hotel, they're like 'swagatam'
and I was like 'what the heck??'

just because, in English, there is 'You're welcome' as receptive response
doesn't mean there has to be on in Nepalese like 'swagatam'
and believe me,  I almost puked.. it felt so awkward..

Bitter_truth: Good jobs on getting the lists. I only did the stuff below from your list while i was back in Nepal a month ago.

I was very surprised to see people speaking on english with me in even general conversations. While i was talking in Nepali, he/she was returning me in Engish. I was like WTF???

20. Drinks and carries mineral water and always speaks of health conscious.

18. Sneezes and says 'Excuse me'.

16. Doesn't forget to crib about air pollution. Keeps cribbing every time he steps out.

11. Writes date as MM/DD/YYYY, on watching traditional DD/MM/YYYY, says "Oh! British Style!!!!"

5. Pronounces "schedule" as "skejule", and "module" as "mojule".

Apart from this lists, i did lot of travelling specially from KTM to PKR in bus atleast 3/4 times. Wow that was really adventurous.

Peace

@sirus, lol.. cool..
didn't you feel going backward in time as soon as you stepped out of the airport??
the moment I got off the plane, they stuffed us into a pathetic stinky bus as if we're a horde of sheeps ..
I was through singapore airlines last time, and it was so antique feel in TIA later on,
even the public toilets and workers out there, they're all filthy.
Someone got Rs.1000(which I had with me just in case from the last trip) off of me, when he told me my baggage is lost and he took responsibility to find it. but didn't care much, thought as a tips.

anyway, something radical should happen there to change all this else we'll be laughingstock in the western.
