Hey i dont care about madhesi tigers or lions or who ever assholes are them, i will murder them and distroy their existence in this world. I do beleive they are Nepali just like u and me, and i do beleive that they have equal rights to every thing that we (so called pahadiya) been enjoying ever since. Saying so, I do not agree with their violent method of putting their perspectives. But if they have a problem then we should be ready to listen and solve em (if possible, and if eligible).

Its all bull because the rights you are demanding for yourselves are the rights deserved by indigenious people of that country not given to people who says they require 3 million citizenship and be given that rights. Indegineous people have been deprived and I will definately support that, but as far as giving rights to Madhesis goes they only get that right where they are majority and nowhere else, because this incident of MJF proves the fact that if you give them enough power they will bring the country down.

All people of Nepal, both Pahades and Madhesis, should try to save Nepal. There were problems in the past, you could not express your dissatisfactions then. Now we have a new Nepal in the making. Let us hold each other's hands, learn past's mistakes, put behind our past and together create a peaceful country. Let us not be agitated and rush towards violence. We don't want to kill each other and our own folks.
Pahades are silently watching the agitations so far, so should Madhesis carry out silent protests. I'm sure they understand Nepal is poor, and will be poorer if divided. United, we stay strong and maybe will be able to earn something for all of us.

I havent heard about its fairness or unfairness so I dont know about it. But once again, why arent there any Madhesis in administration? If madhes has schools, has had schools since as long as pahad has had schools. समय बित्दै जाँदा मधेसी आन्दोलन पनि संग्लिदै गएर यसले स्वच्छ, शान्त र सक्रियतावादी स्वरुप ग्रहण गर्नेछ भन्ने कुरामा मलाई विश्वास छ । त्यसैले केही अतिशयोक्तिवाद र देखाजायगावाद हावी भएको देख्तादेख्तै पनि मैले संकोचविहिन समर्थन गरेको हुँ ।

मधेसी आन्दोलनको पहिलो खेपले मधेसी र राष्ट्रिय दुवै महत्वको कम्तीमा दुई ठूला उपलब्धी दियो मेरो विचारमा । एउटा सार्वभौमिक महत्वको कुरा- यसले मधेसी समुदाय वञ्चित भईरहेको "ईज्जत" लाई पुनर्स्थापना गरिदियो । अब एउटा मधेसीलाई प्रत्यक्ष अपहेलना गर्न एउटा शहरिया पहाडी हिच्किचाउने छ । वास्तवमा मधेसी आन्दोलनले हाम्रो पुरानो राष्ट्रिय चेतलाई नराम्ररी हल्लाईदिएको छ । यो अत्यन्त जरुरी थियो र सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भयो पनि ।

दोश्रो, राजनैतिक महत्वको कुरा, आठदलले झण्डै झण्डै बिर्सन खोजिसकेको कुरा- संघात्मक पुनर्संरचना- लाई पुनर्जीवित गरिदियो मधेसी आन्दोलनले नै । पुनर्जीवित मात्तै होईन, आठैदलले यसप्रति प्रतिवद्धता पुन: व्यक्त समेत गर्नु पर्‍यो ।

मधेशलाई मात्र लाभ हुने र पहाडलाई अन्याय हुने प्रकृतिको माँग ("भौगोलिक विकटता" प्रति अन्धो रहने चुनावी बाँडफाँड) पुरा गराउन पनि मधेसी आन्दोलन सफल भयो । तर यसप्रति मेरो कुनै गर्व छैन ।

मधेसी समुदायको ईज्जतवर्धन र संघात्मक संरचनाको बहस (बहस मात्र नि, जातिय संघकै मामलाको कुरा गरेको होईन) को प्रक्षेपणको लागि मधेसी आन्दोलनले मेरो सलाम पाउँछ ।

किन्तु, परन्तु ... (सि के लालप्रति क्षमायाचना सहित),

मधेसी आन्दोलन वयस्क हुँदै जानु पर्ने बेलामा यसलाई केटाकेटीकरण गर्ने काम भएको छ यो दोश्रो चरण भनिएको आन्दोलनमा । मधेसी आन्दोलनको राजनैतिक नेतृत्व पनि हाम्रो राष्ट्रिय राजनैतिक नेतृत्व जस्तै एउटै ड्याङका नालायक मुला देखिए ।

माँग र शैली दुवैमा केटाकेटीपन छ । अबको खेपको आन्दोलन मुठ्ठीभरले संचालन गर्ने बन्द र तोडफोड होईन विशाल विशाल शान्तिपूर्ण मानव-महासागर उराल्ने प्रदर्शन, बहस, वार्ता र अनवरत सक्रियतावाद (activism) ले गर्ने आन्दोलन भएमा मात्र समर्थित हुन्छ भन्ने कुरो आन्दोलनका संचालकले बुझ्न नसकेको देखिन्छ ।

मैले माथि भनेनी नेपालको पुरानो राष्ट्रिय चेतलाई मधेसी आन्दोलनको पहिलो चरणले नै नराम्ररी हल्लाईदिइसकेको छ । तर आन्दोलनका संचालकहरु भने धित नमरेर हो कि बढी झर्छ भनेर हो हल्लाएको हल्लाएइ गरिरहन चाहिरहेका छन् ।

फेरि माँगलाई पनि 'एउटा बलिको बोको देउ' भन्ने जस्तो केटाकेटौलेपनमा पुर्‍याएर टुङ्ग्याएका छन् ।

बलिको बोको नै खोजेको हो भने एउटा स्यानो पाठो किन खोज्ने, ठूलै डुङडुङती गन्हाएर बसेको माउ बोको पो ताक्नुपर्छ । होईन, बलीको बोको नभएर दण्डप्रणाली खोजेको हो भने भने, खोई प्रणालीगत सुधारको सुझाव/माँग ? खोई अनुशासनविहिन प्रदर्शनकारीले समेत दण्ड भोग्नुपर्ने आधारभूत मान्यताको स्वीकार ?

अब बाँकी रह्यो समानुपातिक चुनाव प्रणालीको माँग । मैले धेरै पटक भनिसके, केही मधेसी विद्वानहरु सामु च्यालेञ्जको रुपमा समेत राखेको हुँ, यो माँग राख्ने स्वयंलाई के माँगेको हो भुतोभाङ थाहा छैन । पूर्ण समानुपातिक प्रणाली न सम्भव छ, न उपयुक्त छ, न त माग्ने स्वयंले नै थेग्न सक्छ । सम्भव, उपयुक्त र खोजेको भनेको अर्धसमानुपातिक प्रणाली हो, जुन कुरा मधेसी आन्दोलन जन्मनुभन्दा पहिल्यै पुरा भईसकेको छ, अन्तरिम सम्विधानमा ।

त्यसैले अब कुनै जल्दोबल्दो राजनैतिक माँग बाँकी छैन । अब त मधेसी सबलीकरणका दीर्घकालिन र मिहिन कुराहरुमा सक्रियतावाद देखाउनुपर्ने चरण हो ।

अहिले जुन केटाकेटौले शैली र माँगमा आन्दोलन भईरहेछ, गैरमधेसीको त कुरै छाडौं राष्ट्रिय स्तरका मधेसी नेताहरुले पनि असमर्थन जनाईरहेका छन् ।

हालको मधेसी आन्दोलनको दिशा, लक्ष र शैलीलाई छिट्टै ठीक ठाउँमा ल्याएनन् भने आन्दोलनका नाईकेहरु हाम्रो दलहरुले एक जमानामा सकिनसकि एक दर्जन जति कार्यकर्ताहरुलाई रत्नपार्कमा उभ्याउने खालको आन्दोलनमा गएर तुरिनेछन् र वृहद मधेसी सक्रियतावाद भने पुरानै मधेसी नेतृत्वको हातमा फर्किनेछ ।

तर मधेसी आन्दोलनको अवनति र त्यसबाट पुग्ने क्षतिको लागि भने म आन्दोलनकारीलाई द्वितियक मात्र र सरकारलाई चाही प्राथमिक जिम्मेवार देख्छु । यस बारे चाही अर्को पटक ।

Jwala Singh, real name Nagendra Paswan, proves that you do not have to climb very high to become a powerful dalit in Nepal. In this case, the head of the most violent—but not the most important or largest—faction of the JTMM.

Recently we met Paswan in a bare hotel room off a muddy street in small-town Bihar, where everything he and his two companions had could fit into a small holdall. Out of consideration for his guests he left the room to smoke, though he had no compunction about spitting in the corner. He invited us to join him under blankets on the bed and passed around an old studio shot of himself, declining to be photographed as he currently appears.

Talking to Paswan is strikingly similar to speaking with a district level Maoist leader—albeit an especially friendly one—during the conflict. He reeled off the short list of killings and attacks he has commissioned with apparent indifference.

Paswan started out as a journalist, mainly for leftist publications. For a while he ran his own newspaper, and was vice-president of the Siraha chapter of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists for six years. Paswan then had a stint with the Maoists, splitting from them in 2004 over the appointment of Matrika Yadav as head of the Maoist-affiliated Tarai Mukti Morcha. He formed the JTMM with Jai Krishna Goit, notionally to fight for complete tarai independence. His early battles after going freelance were against his former comrades.

To hear Paswan tell it, it was not so much a repudiation of Maoist ideas that led to the split as a divergence of interests. He still talks about revolution coming from poverty and suppression. But, he says, “the Maoists didn’t have a clear vision of madhesi rights. We don’t want to be devotees or partners of pahadis. If we do that, there won’t be any liberation of the tarai.”

Paswan soon parted ways with Goit who, he says, “was already 80, always sick, he couldn’t remember dates.” Paswan says he broke away because “the tarai movement needed sacrifice and youth”, and because it was what JTMM cadres wanted. According to one of his followers about 150 former Maoists are in the group, some with their original weapons. The JTMM-J says it has “full strength” in 13 districts and “agents” in five more.

The JTMM-J organised “some attacks and bandas” and during the tarai movement earlier this year hit at least three police posts, killing a policeman called “Karki something” Paswan recalls. The group lost some of its own people, including five in a single incident. By now, he says, “Our front has proved that we are brave and revolutionary.”

Since mid-February, when the government invited madhesi groups for talks, Goit has not yet responded, and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum’s ‘Uprendraji’ is putting increasing pressure on the government. Paswan, who has the weakest profile of the three, immediately accepted the offer. He issued a list of nine demands, and added another the next day as if as an afterthought. The first demand is an independent tarai state, which he insists must run the length of the country. But the second, fair representation for madhesis in the military, politics and administration, suggests that the demand for independence is rhetorical.

“We believe in negotiations and negotiations are about give and take,” Paswan explains. “If the government addresses these problems [of discrimination] and establishes a federal state with self-government, the negotiations might succeed.” The JTMM-J is still waiting for their tarai rivals to follow before the talking can start.

Given his apparent urge for credibility, does Paswan intend to contest the constituent assembly election? “Yes, if negotiations succeed and madhesi rights are guaranteed. Our fight is for power and rights,” he says, apparently to the surprise of the two boys sitting with him.

Paswan smoked another cigarette, explaining that he was under a lot of stress. We left the hotel together and he tramped off down the muddy street, with his two young followers and their little bag.

And then only the Madheshi feel that their aspirations and feelings have been respected in the government.Infact we don't want someone or somebody to respect us but we want the things that is ours from the very aboriginal stage of ancestors and life. And then only the Madheshis will step for their second phase with their not genuine demand but their rights from their birth.Otherwise the present pahade government has realized that we are ready for next revolution in the history of the world.Madheshis do not feel free unless they form a different state within the country with self-rule,self-determination,self-image and self-esteem.So Madhesh and Madheshis! You don't have to do anything.You have already shown what you can do and what you deserve. Its Pahade government that takes response and we are going to judge them on the basis of how well they understand the supression they have been making to we innocent Madheshis and taking advantage of our innocence.We will judge how well they have understand our Power, integrity and our rights.We will also judge them how loyal have they become this time of history towards Madheshis.The time will definately show that truth always wins.If that does not happen ,we Madheshis will prove that truth always wins.

भाषाको समस्या तपाईलाई नपरेको तपाई स्मार्ट भएर हो ब्रदर। स्मार्ट मधेसीले मात्रै चान्स पाउने, अलिअलि स्मार्टले नपाउने भैराख्याछ अहिले, तेसैले 'अन्डर रिप्रीजेन्टेसन'को कुरो आइराख्या हो। ठिकै छ, हामी अङ्रेजीमा जाँच दिन्छम भने नि राम्रै हो। तेसै गरम। नेपाली सिक्न भन्दा अँग्रेजी सिक्न सजिलो छैन। अनि भोलि फेरि कैलाली , रोल्पा तिर मधेसीलाई सिडियो बनाएर पठाउदा सोमले नेपाली नजानेर त भएन नि। त्यसैले नेपाली सिक्न चाहिँ पर्छ, निजामति कर्मचारीले जस्तो लाग्छ।

नेपे बिरादरले भन्या जस्तै माग्नै परेपछि थला परेर बेडाँ ढलिरा'को बुढो गिर्जाकै राजिनामा माग्या भए हुन्थ्यो। हैन भने भोलि झापा बाट जमानत जफत गराइदिएर लाजमर्नु पारेनि भैगो। मलाई त यो मधेसी नेताहरु आफ्नो मधेसाँ पपुलर छ जस्तो लाग्दैन।

अब हाम्रो देशाँ एउटा युनिअनिस्ट पार्टी चाहियो, सबै देश एउटै हो, सबैलाई आआफ्नो धर्म, रितिरिवाज मान्न सबै स्वतन्त्रता, तर सबै हामी पहिला नेपाली अनि बल्ल बाहुन, छेत्री, नेवार, मधेसि, सेक्सि, ह्यान्डसम, अपराधी, बाँगे, सिधा, लामघारे, बामपुड्के आदि। हाम्रो देशाँ यो जनजाति, मधेसीले भन्दा तेस्तो पार्टीले जित्छ। इथ्निक (जातिय) र लिङ्गुइस्टिक (भाषिय) एक रुप भएको देश हुदैमा झगडा नहुने र राम्रो हुनेभए संसारको सबभन्दा जातिय र भाषिय देश नर्थ कोरिया हो (९९% कोरियन), त्यसको बिजोग देखिएकै छ। प्रजातन्त्र र खुलापनले मात्र देश अघि बढाउँछ, यो संकीर्ण सोचाइले हैन। पढेका, टाठाबाठालाई अघि बढाऔँ, अरु कुरो देखा जायेगा।
