From thread to thread, most of the comments on this forum are racially abusive to all the madheshis. I have got few questions for all those pahadi racist:
1. Why do pahadi people hate madheshis in general?

2. Why do you guys in this forum hate madheshis? Come on guys grow up, most of you all are living abroad, educated, civilized, you name it. It wouldn't hurt me if some guy from remote area in Nepal who is uneducated, doesn't know the madheshis are part of Nepalese society would be racist to me. But you guys how can you be racist to madheshis, seriously shame on you! I know all of you don't think like that but most of you pahadis do!

3. Why can't you guys see there is a fine line between Indians and madheshis?

4. Why do you guys hate Paramendra? Just because he's fighting for rights of innocent madheshis in Nepal who have been victims of the tyrrants in Nepalese society since ages. Paramendra has got a long way to go, thumbs up to him.

5. Would you want a Madheshland in Nepal? Imagine you have to get visa to go to Janakpur, Mahendranagar or Bhairahawa? Seriously, if you pahadi guys continue to treat madheshis in the same way there would come a day with "Madheshland" in existence. But personally I don't want a Madheshland, I just want a cohesive and progressive society in Nepal where all the ethnic people in Nepal work for common goal, that is nation's development!

You should take the following points into consideration:
1.Only around 50% of Nepalis mother tongue is Nepali. Maithali, Bhojpuri, Awadhi and Tharu make the bulk rest who are madheshis btw.
2.I think they don't need to speak Nepali at all, since they represent such a big community. They are many countries in the world where even if the minority represents few % of the total population, they make it a bilingual country. For example Finland, Belgium you name it.
3.Madheshi youths who have been studying in Nepal speak complete Nepali as you guys. It's not their problem if they speak their own language, be it Maithili, Bhojpuri, Tharu. Isn't it better, if they are many languages in our country, more culturally diverse.


Bottomline, Nepal should be made a bilingual country or the government should be ready to spend some money on the madheshis,for once, have informal teaching or something in madhesh to let them learn the language. Since at home, they don't need to talk in Nepali.

Bokeshwore: Dude, maybe you might have some Indian family doing that. But the truth is bulk of the madheshis have kirana stores and grocery stores of their own, which they don't love to do but are forced to do, since they can't get any better work than that.

Anilsubedi: That's only a crap, haven't hard such story. A person whose family lives in Nepal would send money to India.

u might be thinking posting such threds can give u sympathy n change others attitude than sorry bro. i ain't a racist but those ppl who think they r nepali but act n benefit the india in crucial time never allow me to think to cahnge it. talkin bout discremanation by pahadi thna bro u need to go to such village in nepal n see the reality. i,myself bron n grew in a village where out of 10,000 voters 2000 are so called pahadi. why dont u guys think what the hell pahadi n madhesi. now i tell u the fact, throughout the yr thse ppl so called madhesi are fine they mingled n be part on nepal n nepalese. but when ever election come so called ur leader visit the village n drew a fine line between pahadi n madhesi. now these ppl never listen to us n do what ever they think. they talk about india all the time.its nt pahadi who discriminate u guys its u guys. never allowed any pahadi to participate in ur party activities n always act to benifet india. m sorry bro first need to change ur attititude. there r many incidents in my memory to share which show the fact but its ok i will never change my attitude beside m aboard since long time. those memory always haunt me.

CHAPTER I.- LANGUAGE OF THE UNION

343. Official language of the Union.

(1) The official language of the Union shall be Hindi in Devanagari script. The form of numerals to be used for the official purposes of the Union shall be the international form of Indian numerals.

(2)Notwithstanding anything in clause (1), for a period of fifteen years from the commencement of this Constitution, the English language shall continue to be used for all the official purposes of the Union for which it was being used immediately before such commencement: Provided that the President may, during the said period, by order_306 authorise the use of the Hindi language in addition to the English language and of the Devanagari form of numerals in addition to the international form of Indian numerals for any of the official purposes of the Union.

(3) Notwithstanding anything in this article, Parliament may by law provide for the use, after the said period of fifteen years, of-

(a) the English language, or

(b) the Devanagari form of numerals, for such purposes as may be specified in the law.

I am not Paramendra, but yeah, I am among one of those Paramendras who are about to emerge or have already emerged from the madhesh. Just becoz we have had enough of this racial discrimination. Seriously, in the coming days, they are gonna be millions of Paramendras from madshesh if you guys keep continuing to treat madheshis in the same way.

Well...the thing is what has been done can't be undone, so I just wanna say, now is the right time to act for the benefits of all the people of Nepal including madheshis, please change your attitude towards madheshis coz they are not Indians, they are part of our society and our country. I joined this forum just yesterday but have gone through many threads already on this forum and when I started this thread I was quite mad and pissed about this forum, thinking what the heck we have racism in Nepal but it's so sprouting here on this forum too, but reading at some of the replies above made me feel a lot better. I really urge those people, who think like me that this problem so exists in our society, to take some actions like make some organization which would act for eradicating these problems from our society from root level ( I really haven't heard any specific organization working just for racial discrimination in Nepal).

I have had so many tragedies in life just becoz I was born in a madheshi family in Nepal. If I'd share those tragedies I have had and my family had with you guys, you would seriously understand what a curse it is to be a madheshi in Nepal. Here are few stories which happened to me and my family.

One evening my dad (Saroj Yadav, of course I have changed the name) came from work, btw he's a vegetable seller, goes to weekly or bikweekly bazaars (hat bazaar ke, you know, we have it in the villages and small cities in terai) 7 days a week. He came home around 8 pm and had left for the "hat" with his vegetable on his bicycle around 6 am. He was just putting the bike in our front, then our neighbour's 3 sons came, and started asking money from him and of course he said he worked all day really hard for those money he had in his pocket. They threatened him, and he started shouting then my brother and I went there to help him and those pahadi guys( 3 sons from one of our neighbors) started to hit my dad and of course we couldn't ourselves we also started hitting those guys. Did I mention, tho I have lived in madhesh, in my tol or galli we were the only madheshis and we always took care of our business not intruding in other pahadi people's lives. But most of the villagers are of course madheshis. Yeah, so when my bro and I started hitting those 3 pahadi guys, all the people in our tol or galli stood up for them just coz they were pahadis. It's not going to stop here. In fact all the pahadis in my tol came out and started beating us up. One guy came with a khukhuri and was literally tried to cut my dad's head off, he succeeded partially. My bro and I were beaten up really badly´by around 40 pahadis, I was 15 and my bro was 18 then.
After this, all those people went inside my home, looted us completely.

We all were admitted to the hospital.We all survived. And the most interesting part was nothing happened to all those pople who did this to us. Police seriosly didnt do anything.
And of course this was just one of the tragedies my family and I have had.

Hope now you guys understand, why I have started this thread and what I mean and want you guys to do.
