You never did mention about the two sections, I happen to think that rap was about, well, rapping, i.e. vocal section (oooh dumb me), thus I went on to listen to your work of art. And I did tell you what I felt about it, if I wouldve read your lyrics first, then maybe I wouldnt have said the same thing, yet I do stand by what I have said. I would rather read the first comment you wrote, so infuriated by the lack of appreciation to your great achievement, than reading your free-stylin that i can barely decipher.
Second, just because you came first in something, doesnt mean I have to respect and bow down to that ..... there are different standards and criterion to judging, and I might not agree with all that.
Third, Ive had this name for a while now, I wasnt trying to be original, or even win anything when I chose the name .... it couldve been anything else, beatles, gratefulDead, dylan, or even Dre for that matter, i just needed a name.
Music and poems are something i thoroughly enjoy listening and reading to, it isnt something i claim to be any good at, so dont challenge me to it, for I, unlike yourself, am not number one in any website.
You wanted people's opinion, and you received it, so dont go on with the notion of "khutta tanne", or did you only want the opinion if the opinion happened to be positive? You are a good writer, but why "bend" the rules of the language while writing, why not go along with it, try it, you might like it.
Yet, I wish you luck in your quest for success in the hip-hop world....

Thank you very much for your opinion, It will do me a world of good. I have grown a step towards maturity with whatever response I received here. Maybe there are certain areas that I need to seriously revise... I will definitely look into it.

Nepal singers can never become a true rappers or hip hop artists simply because of they cant meet these criterias:

1. To become a true rapper or hip hop artist one has to have at least some criminal record.

2. Must have a record of involvement in "drive by" shootings either as a shooter or a victim. In addition, one must have a record of successfully shooting someone or being shot at by someone.

3. Must have a record of doing a jail time (longer and higer the frequency, better it would be)

4. Must have a record of living with a single parent since early childhood.

5. Must be addicted to some kind of narcotic durgs like meth or coke or heroine etc

6. Must have a record of involvement in gang related activies such a drug dealing, gang fights etc.

most of the other rappers seem to be american and its no mean feat to be ranked 1 there, no matter what. I could not listen to the songs in the lower half there maybe because being archived?

and about the rap thing, i seen some people mention hard core rap to your songs. I am very much ignorant about hard core raps (if that is what your song is). So I am not even in a position to suggest anything productive.

But let me say something about mainstream rap. I was a huge eminem fan right right when he came out with the Marshal Mathers III LP. I could remember each and evry word Eminem has said in that LP, even that song called Paul or somethign where the record company calls him to say that his songs suck. Amitville is one of my best songs in rap. And Stan where he writes the letter and speaks his mind. I like eminem not because he sounds violent or filthy but because he SPEAKS HIS MIND, he speaks ABOUT HIS EXPERIENCE and he is very much HONEST about it. Thats how a white rapper reached the top in America (or maybe because at that time Golf champion was a black and Germany did not want to go to war :)

its harsh on you to be compared to eminem (because he is at the top and you are aspiring to be there) but you get the point. If hardcore rap is somewhat similar to mainstream rap, those are very important 3 ingredients to be considered (see the capi9talized words). If hardcore rap is only about violence and foul words, I am really ignorant on the issue and may not have any good suggestions.

Thank you all very much for the response. I think your comments including the harsh ones has moved me closer to the reality, and yes you all are right I SUCKED at those freestyle VOCAL battles. And I have finally realised that comments including highfly and Eminem's were all plausible, I am seriously considering the suggestions you'll put up here.

I won quite a few text battles, and I got carried away with the respect that I had built up in that particular website, I now realise that "letsbeef.com" is nothing compared to the whole wide world.

However, I do not feel bad about my decision to put this thread up here, I am rather happy that I did put the thread up, it has helped me modify my perception.

People, I will come back, and with the same will and grace, I will put up another thread for you all to evalute at that time, I promise you I will try not to let any of you down.
