I am starting this thread to know where the TPS application is going and how long is it taking to get approved. If you go to USCIS processing time for nebraska, first of all , TPS is not even in the list (i-821) and second of all the dates are so out of date and updated every 1.5 months or 2. So just creating this thread to get a live tracking based upon others application and approval date. Hope others will help.

My case:
Application received: Dec 11 2015 (TPS only)
Bio metrics date: Jan 12 2016
TPS: Not yet approved

I have been following this thread for a long time and is really helpful. Just giving update. Me and my friend applied. My friend posted the paperwork one week late in december. I believe my friends biometrics was also a week late. LIke in December and had hand written passport. My TPS is still pending and saying case been reviewed. But my friends TPS got approved on Saturday. Nothing was done from my friends side. Not a call to USCIS, additional documents sent. Nothing at all. I dont know what to say....

Mine biometrics date accepted was Dec 11th, Application received Dec 7th, My friend Application received date would be around dec 14th, and Biometrics date was couple of days or may be week after mine. My friend also applied for exemption on all the fees even for EAD with handwritten passport. But mine was all paid but i didnt apply for EAD.

I've been following this thread for a while so I figured I should share an update. I filed my TPS application on December 21, 2015 along with the TPS EAD. My application was processed in Nebraska. Soon after I got a biometric appointment on the 25th of January, 2016. Ever since, I have been waiting to get anything back from them. Because my OPT expires soon, and would not be able to work, I was hoping to at least get the EAD part. I had heard many cases where people's TPS was pending but they at the very least had an EAD and could continue working.

I scheduled an infopass appointment and also sent an inquiry to the USCIS to see if I would hear anything back. On May 17th, I randomly checked the USCIS website and saw that the EAD part of the application had an update, and said that my card was being produced. The following day, I looked at the TPS application status, and saw that it had been approved as well.

This is quite interesting. I applied for my TPS and EAD both on the very last day of submission deadline and my mail delivered only after deadline. I didn't even bother to check my status as I thought I would be last one to get an approval, if i do at all. Luckily they accepted my application and proceeded with it. Then I got my Biometric done at around Dec 19. Surprisingly, I got both my EAD and TPS approved yesterday. I am surprised that there are folks whose TPS is still not approved. Strange !!

Rockyzman! Your story doesn't add up. The deadline for application was December 24. But you said you had biometrics done around Dec 19.

It seems like if you apply tps with ead you are appoved earlier than tps without ead.

@ StatusPidit: My apology ! It was a typo. I got my biometric done on Jan 29.
@may : I think you are absolutely correct. I did apply TPS with EAD, they both got approved together.

TPS Application Received by USCIS: July 16th, 2015
EAD received: sometime in Sept/October
TPS approved: May 25, 2016

I did request to expedite request long time ago but they simply put me in line with the traditional response. I think this came through a regular process so you might get your approval pretty soon. Good luck broda. i didn't really care about this because my AOS is almost done through another petition. If i were you, I would highly recommend contacting your local congressman because I have seen it time and time again, they have a back channel to USCIS to make shit done.

USCIS created SR for my fren, 2 weeks ago and he got approval on 12th day. I think he had filed around July 2015.. .. If the case is straight forward ,it should not take long time..

Try calling USCIS again/call local congressman
