My friend is having a hard time choosing a name for her new Restaurant. It will serve both Nepali and Indian Cuisines and she's looking for a Name that will highlight both the cuisines. If you have any good names in mind, please suggest here. The winning Name shall get a small prize from my friend. Thank you.

How about "Himalayan" or Everst Himalayan Nepalese-Indo Cuisine". Reason I didn't like to choose Indo-Nepalese is not to bring Indian name before the Nepalese Identity, and also not to encourage Indian dominance in people's mind. Hope it helps. Good Luck on your steps ahead. Thanks

OKie.. Nepali as well as indian flavor huh? .. mmm.. following are what came to my mind :)
Mitta Ram's Mo: Mo: Kathmandu Dhawa Bajeko Briyani Kathmandu Kabab Khana Bhaat & Chat Dhaka Topi & Dhoti Restaurant Udit Naryan Bhojanalaya (cuz he is both indian and nepali at the same time ;)
mmmm.. no more jokes.. ok ok.. now something serious ;)
Taste of Himalayas Himalyan Mirchi House / Himalyan Mirchi Red Chilly (Neutral Name, but of course, gore wont dare to try your food ;)) Nawa Rash Food House
My Serious Suggestion-
HIMALAYAN MIRCHI
Best of luck!
BTW, what is the gift ? ::)

FEAST FROM EAST. I SUGGEST YOU NOT TO USE NAMES THAT APPEAL ONLY TO NEPALESE AND INDIAN. USE A NAME THAT APPEALS TO ALL. I THINK GOOD NAME IS BETTER BUT IT IS NOT THAT IMPORTANT. I SOMETIMES GO TO A RESTAURANT CALLED MOGUL AND I AM SURPRISED TO SEE MORE AMERICANS THAN INDIANS. IN FACT, THE RESTAURANT HAS VERY FEW INDIAN CUSTOMERS. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE GONE TO AN AMERICAN RESTAURANT.

ha ha ha some of the names sound really hilarious you guys! I liked Udit Narayan Bhojanalaya. He has indeed said "ma nepal ma hunchu ta ma nepali bhaijaanchu, ma bharat ma hunchu ta ma bharatiya bhaijanchu.....ta pheri ma amrika ma hunchu ta ma GEOGRAPHY bhaijaanchu"!!! Thank you all for your suggestions. Please keep them coming because my friend is still not satisfied with the choices....she thinks the names Himalayan and Everest have become too common.

If I were you, my name would be, "Milarewa - Indian & Nepali Cuisines" ...................Where Taste of East Meets You Why this name ? 1. Name it different . Branding will be easier.. Sounds little Nepali, Little Indian word but it's a new one It means a nice place for meeting & dining :) (new word, new meaning) 2. Domain name is still avilable www.Milarewa.com (Grab it now from Godaddy ..) 3. Always use the word Indian and Nepali..to make it easy to find on Google(& other) maps and GPS. BTW, tagline is bonus for you. Cheers !!
