I am posting the new National Anthem of Nepal so that we all can memorize. It seems we may wake up one morning knowing the fact that we need to recite this anthem every morning. Seeing the current trend the morning will come sooner than later.
" Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka Jaya He Bharat Bhagya Vidhata Punjab Sindh Gujarat Maratha Dravida Utkala Banga Vindhya Himachal Yamuna Ganga Ucchala Jaladhi Taranga Tubh Shubha Name Jage Tubh Shubha Ashisha Mange Gahe Tubh Jaya Gata Jan Gan Mangaldayak Jay He Bharat Bhagya Vidhata Jaye He ! Jaye He ! Jaye He ! Jaye,Jaye,Jaye,Jaye He "
Bharat Mata ki jaya.
Jaba Bharat mata ki jaya bhanne din najik audai nai cha bhane...aile dekhi nai kina na bhanne
You guys and gurls have all rights to call me hypocrite.

Well, deshbhakta..while I understand your sentiment behind your posting, I guess it is too early to say we need to memorize 'ja na gana mana". However, merely memorizing or not memorizing national anthem does not make you nepali or indian per se, it is your attitude and your action what makes you nepali or non-nepali for that matter. I guess we have already gone too far without memorizing or singing " jana gana mana". Millions of our neighbors are already the citizens of our country ( thanks to SPAM's citizenship bills), our hydropower industries/projects( our potential source of energy) are being sold again to the same old neighbor, our polticians can not make any decision without consulting the ambassador of our southern neighbor or Yechuri.
SO WHERE ARE WE NOW?
Even after all these, we do not feel secure in our own country, there is no rule of law, no security. Abduction, lootings, killings and so on are going on....If you ask me, people living in sikkim and bhutan are better off than we are, at least there is " PEACE". DO WE HAVE PEACE? NO- So merely saying we are sovereign nation with sovereign people does not make us SOVEREIGN, as a matter of fact, our country has become another " PRANTA" or worst than " Pranta" of our southern neighbor! THIS IS THE FACT! HARD BUT TRUE!

deshBHAKTAnepali, until now i had thought you're just genuinely concerned about sovereignty and longevity of nepal. last few posts of yours, and especially this particular thread made me think otherwise-- you're nothing but a chronic case of pessimism, denial and conspiracy theory.you know what? "F^CK YOU!"

I agree with Eagle5. Sad but True on what you have said. We have already become an "unofficial" puppet of India and thanks to all the corrupt and incompotent leaders of Nepali Congress, UML, and the Maoistparties. They have done nothing good for the country and have only danced on India's interest. In other words, they have literally sold Nepal to India for their self interest. And India is having its policies, interests, and wishes fulfilled in Nepal.Â

What arguements are you talking about dude?? Give me one reason why you still believe Nepal is not falling into conspiracy of Indian political system which wanted to bring Nepal under its security umbrella since British left India. Give me just one reason why you still believe the message of Nehru to Indian assembly that the soverignity of Nepal can cause us trouble any time and should be timely checked has changed in last 60 years. The message of National anthem was a simply rhetoric I tried to present here...when i am aware that most you you...yesss including you 'Lootekukur' don't even know the lyrics of "Sayaun thunga phool ka". If you simply analyze the unfolding circumstances in last 5 years you will understand what I am saying...else I do not care what you think about me.

What I do not understand is, all we nepali love our sovereignity and independence. But when it comes to speak against some of the actions of SPAM, like selling nepali citizenship in fish market, selling nepali hydropower to thier god father india no body speaks up. are we coward or bunch of hypocrites?
I do not mind who become president, prachanda or "bukhyacha from rice field" or what " ism" we follow, as long as they do not compromise our national interest with india. but this is not happening...they are doing exactly " A-Z" what thier good father is telling them...so can't you see this thing happening??? guys be sensetive about the politcal happenings in nepal and at whose behest it is happening and who is benefiting form it rather than blaming each other!
" child shows the man as morning shows the day" old cliche'..those who are pro-optimist-think twice and those are dissapointed and become little pessimist, do not give up like this, have faith on nepalese brother/sisters...who love nepal..there will be a day, when they all get together and fight against currupt puppet leaders !

Just because I don't know the words for sayaun thungaa phool ko does not make me an Indian citizen or an Indian govt Sympathyzer MORON.

BathroomCoffee....your message, your selection of words and yours knowledge of english grammar explains your understanding and attitude. Why don't you write in Nepali if you are not comfortable with English language. I believe all of us visiting sajha do understand Nepali.
I don't think i will like to discuss with someone who do not even respect minimum norms of social communication.

What i agree is " Nepal is not going to be a part of india, why would india want another problem"-100% agree. They will suck nepal too that extent that nepal will not have anything for its own use, natural resources-water in particular, they will control nepali politcs from delhi..so as long as they can do such thnigs why would they try to annex nepal and make them internationally unpopular....But just think what would happen to nepal, just geographically we will be soveriegn and independent. you think we are independent now? then why a leader of sovereign country would do negotiation with thier domestic political forces in the presense or request of indian leaders and ambassador !...you tell me kids?

deshbhaktanepali, and how's your majesty's gonna protect us from all those perils from india you pointed out? if you ask me; it's not india, it's we--our mentality--that need some treatment. being sandwiched between the two gigantic nations, our geographical reality is such that the possibility of challenges, minor tussles or worst-case intrusion from the surroundings can never be discarded. but if we apply ourselves, we can very well defend nepal from all those potential jeopardies. it's we who have to defend our country. as i said in the other thread, the international community is there to help in our cause. we try to be good with the neighbors and if they are notorious, instead of whining and crying, we should be developing armors to protect ourselves. and with your dareisay defeatist mentality that i have been witnessing here in sajha for the past few weeks, the defense mechanism of ours is only going to get more vulnerable. just have some more confidence in yourself. if we, the people, hadn't wanted, the 240 years old institution would not have gone down begging for life.
