Spurs are indeed a dirty team they proved it last night by playing that cheap shot on Steve Nash. But the Suns had to pay the price. Can't get more dirtier than that!

I was enjoying the series and was NEUTRAL until that cheap shot came about! Can't believe that the SUNS will lose their 2nd best while those dirty SPURS just lose one of the foul-neck rough-azz team player! This is an extreme lose-lose situation for the SUNS. How can they compete at the same level without Stoudamire?? Damn, the NBA commission needs to look into this and kick ONLY Horry out of the tourney for good!! Unsportsmanship to the highest degree!!

I like spurs because of Duncan and Parker at the same time i hate em coz of dirty players like Bowen Horry and Ginobili .... but this year i want suns to win since they deserve a championship.... hopefully the suns will come through victorious this series... that was one of the worst fouls i have ever seen fkkin Horry deserves to be suspended for the entire series..... anyways that is my take on the situation

Man, why you guys hating so much on the spurs. That was just a small hip check. Not a big deal. If Nash was playing more like a man instead of flopping whenever there is a foul or a charge, there would nt be any of this. Either way, Suns fans, dont worry. Amare is not as valuable as you may think. Last year, you guys did just as good without him. LOL... somebody that is an All Nba teamer can be so easily replaceable. I cant believe Amare's selection to the all nba team. It should have definitely gone to Yao. Yao is a franchise player while Amare is just an athletic big man that happens to be playing with a great passer. Either way, the rule is quite simple. If anything, you guys should be pissed at how stupid amare and boris were :)

Why are the Suns whinning? They have been whinning since the Laker's series last year.....I am not condoning what Robert Horry did, but, Come On people, it was a hard foul, and he paid the price on the court....Flagrant 2, and got himself ejected, and some fine for sure....If you look at the foul very closely, Robert Horry was moving, and Nash was flying.....I thought Robert Horry felt like he might miss fouling Nash altogether, and so moved abruptly....and the co-incidence or what, Nash flew right off of Roebrt Horry....I think the Foul looked worse than it really was.....I doubt it was intentional....The truth of the matter is, I can't still live with the fact that last year, when Raja Bell tried to detach Kobe's neck from his head, he only got suspended 1 Game...1 freaking Game for intentional foul....almost choked him on the court....

Now back to Spurs being Dirty, I am not a Spurs Fan, but that is what SPurs have been doing for years. Why is it becoming an issue now? Just becoz' Suns like to Run, and do not wanna get touched by a defender??? Suns....guess what, welcome to the Playoffs...If you are whinning now, and if you are lucky to beat the Spurs, wait until how Jazz plays u guys....Mind you, Jazz are the most physical team in the NBA...they have football players like Harping running all over your finnesse moves.... hard fould after hard fouls...Don't believe me? Go ask Yao Ming and the Rockets, and the Warriors for that matter !

Having said all that, I do not think Amare and Diaw should have been suspended for tonight's game !

The rule is the rule man.. it is there for a reason... to avoid an all out brawl like back the in the day knicks vs heat, when van gundy got stomped on... or more recently the palace mayhem.
I dont understand why you guys consider the Spurs a dirty team. Which team can boast a classy trio like Ginobili, Parker and Duncan. There is a big difference between playing physical and dirty. Just because Phoenix is too finesse and cannot play physical does not mean that San Antonio is dirty. I think that everyone seems to think that playing good defense is playing dirty.

I don't think Spurs as a team are Dirty....But I do think Bruce Bowen is a Dirty Player....!

WHat do you think about officiating in the NBA? It is really bothersome to see these Refs make bad calls after bad calls in almost every game....I understand, thee game is too fast, and most of the times, the Refs make a call on instinct, rather than what actually happens on the court...Talking about Spurs, they only attempted 14 free throws in the Game 4 against the Suns...Do you think Amare and Nash crying about Spurs being Dirty has something to do with it? And even crazier, Duncan only attempted 4 free throws......are you kidding me? Duncan plays inside all the time, and got fouled only twice??? I hate that the Refs in the NBA make calls based on what comes out of the Commissioner's office, rather than what actually goes on the court....

How about the game last night? GSW out, but that game was out of hand...Refs had no control over it...bad calls after bad calls.....Oh well....I digress...Life is still good !

Bowen just gets labeled dirty because he is probably one of the handful great defenders in the NBA. I am not saying he does nt take short cuts like grabbing, pushing etc... on defense... But whats new, no one is complaining when Shaq does an ELBOW step (his version of drop step) into the defender's face, then knocks the defender down, and then dunks on him... and the refs call it an "AND ONE".... I have seen even MJ get away with murder on offense, same thing with Carter and Ray Allen (the biggest complainers about Bruce Bowen). Only Kobe, like a real man, will come out and say Bruce Bowen is a great defender and still score 50 on him... Anyway, I digress, I just think that you cannot have double standards... on one hand let players get away with more eye candy'ish offensive dirty play... and then penalize a player for applying the same dirty tricks on the defensive end.... yah, the nba is structured that way, to make the game more beautiful for the fans... but as a true b ball fan, you should be able to see through the crap...

Knightcrawler and Sleepyspur, I've nothing against the Spurs or its players. As a matter of fact I adore Duncan (but I ain't gay!!) and was NEUTRAL as per my post above for the entire series loving how both teams fought real hard for the advantage. However, I do hate Bowen's physically SLY way of checking his man. 2-3 yrs ago when he proclaimed himself as being the only one who could check Kobe...He had his hands physically locked around Kobe's (and also on his shorts) the entire game and stuck to the bugger like a BAD HABIT...Luckily he did it when the refs weren't looking. In a similar context, I hated the Jazz for doing the same and more during the Jordan era (pulling shorts, locking hands, elbbowing, etc.).

I agree with the tactics. All I am saying is that it goes both ways. Just dont discount the murder that players get away with on offense. You talk about Jordan being abused by the Jazz.... how can you forget the Jordan's push-off on Russell..
First of all, Kobe is amazing. Also, he has a few dirty tricks in his bag as well.. did everyone forget the frequent elbows that he threw on raja bell last year, or the other shots to the face like the one on ginobili during the regular season... All I am saying is.... no one calls Kobe dirty... its part of the game boys... this is a man's game and there are a few bumps and bruises that come along the way... deal with it.... just give the defenders a fair fight when it comes to calling them dirty.... Kobe is so great, he NEVER called Bowen dirty, in spite of the fact that he has been taking the majority of Bowen's so called dirty play.... It makes me wonder....

Let truth be told, Carl Malone was one of the dirtiest player in the game...Also, about Bruce Bowen, he applies similar tactics that Malone and other "Dirty" players implemented. Dirty does not necessairly mean bad...its just that you get away with it....

I recall the phrase I once heard, "You ain't trying if you are not cheating, and It aint cheating until you get caught."

I guess its a matter of opinion. Malone was definitely dirty. There is no two ways about it. I would never even put Bowen in the same category. I dont understand why you guys fail to realize that the game is not as harmless as it seems. Please dont discredit good defense for dirty.. open your eyes and realize that everyone does a little pulling and grabbing every now and then... just looks more obvious when a determined defender is trying to put a stop to sweet jumpers, drives and dunks...

nash was just over reacting. it was not even fragrant foul. we have seen harder foul than that in some games. anyway rule is rule. so lets see the game without their top star.

Agree with Nirvana that Nash indeed over-reacted.....Like I said before, he was flying, and caught Horry....Suns are a bunch of floppers anyway...How often you haev seen Raja Bell flop, and get an offensive foul against the opposing team...same goes with Steve Nash....his biggest defensive play is his flop.....How ironic !

Regarding Bruce Bowen...he is a good defender...but he has been dirty at times...for example, in Game 3, he kicked Nash in the groin area while he had the ball, and it went unnoticed....that's when Amare and Nash start crying "Dirty" about Bruce Bowen...

another reason why kids like Amare shouldn't jump straight from high school to NBA. If players don't like fould, they should play non contact sports..... I am certain it was TD's idea not Pop ;) great use of his Psychology Degree :p
