Since no information is available in www.ana-convention.org regarding Soccer '07 participants, I was wondering whether we can use this thread as a Message Board for the tournament. Information on which teams are participating and what color jerseys they are wearing would be very helpful. -- Cowboy

DC vs Toronto would have been a classic match up if not for Toronto bad luck. Dc would have been classic match up with explosive Toronto ( the team which scored the most goals in the tourney)..too bad Toronto wouldnt be participating tis year due to distance issue.

Casey00, Toronto was REAL good...But your midfield had mucho help from one of NYC's top Tibetan players, Sonam. He's going to the Tib Tournamnet this year instead, so even if you make it to LA, you would have to get a replacement equally as good which in my mind is very unlikely! Midfielders set the game and I believe that your team would not be the same as last year...Though I gotta give it up to you guys as you were really fast and had the best stamina (thats what you get for being the youngest ones out there)!!

Dallas?? The Khukuris would have be come sharpened as they've been blunt for the past 5 ANAs I've been to. 2 yrs ago in Dallas, I thought that the team needed younger players to take over. Too many peeps with guts running around! NY has done just that...the old legs are sitting out whereas the younger ones will be the torch bearers!! Go high-school and college-kids, its your time to shine! BTW, they need to have the soccer games around the evening as this early morning waking up shit sucks BIG time!! Players gotta party too and damn, this is the ANA we're talking about! I'm gonna sign any petition that asks for such with my eyes closed. Anyone else with me??? And while we're at it, could more peeps come and watch and support their local teams?? I hate winning when there's no one to see it!!

there is no denying that Sonam was the tourney MVP. But remember TOronto team was undermanned due to visa/travel problems. semiFinals we fielded 11 guys, and also some of them injured. NYC had 20 guys but it was good fight.. Toronto team is loaded with talent, if only it was close we would have fielded much more stronger team than last year...there are young players who will be too much for the old guys.. and to tel you the truth, the only team that impressed me was DC. THey looked organized. I wish we went up against them..but with healthy squad DC would have had hands full.

BigB, Dallas does stand a good chance this time. Big bellies have been replaced with fresh legs. In fact we began the process last year but the work was incomplete. This year we have revamped the whole team. We have been playing the same starters each time in the tournament we are in and the results have been impressive. Last year, I have to admit DC's offensive line was formidable and we lost 3-1 to them. But this year I am pretty confident we will give any team run for the money. --Cowboy

NO IDEA..Played against them at ANA Phoenix '04...scored 6 goals in the first half and then made all our subs play the next half. We won 8-0. BTW, one of their players is a bare-foot maestro!! hahahah If its the same team, they are a sure shot first round fiasco!!

DC is the only quality team but I heard Boston fielded former national winger. Never got to play against them but it would have been nice to tackle him..haha

bash, you wit amuses me: LA win the ANA?? That'll only happen if all the other teams don't show up and they end up getting a bye! Anyway, always a good idea to be an optimist!!
