dude...you need to watch "the exorcist" and "omen-1 and 2"...of course i am talking about the old ones. The Ring-1 is pretty good as well.

not one of the movies you mentioned is scary, theyre only disgusting and creepy, eh? cabin fever was like woah, the part where they leave their friend in the barn thingi and the sliced foot was sick and saw2 was just plain disgusting, final destination 3 was for kiddos and i havent seen hostel and hills have eyes suckes bigtime, dunno about the new one? and yeah exorcist is a hilarious movie, hahahahah, the devil is such a bigaass pervert

GORIEST or MOST SCARY movie?

If you wanna watch Goriest (Meaning significant amount of blood scenes), I would suggest all Brian De Palma movies Scarface, Untouchables, Black Dahlia (probably). Others will be like Saving Private Ryan.

If you prefer scariest movies, then I would recommend
The Ring, The Grudge, Blair Witch Project, Evil Dead etc.

Bonus recommendation:
If you like see ultra-violence?
Probably, Natural Born Killers could be a great one.

The Shining is a classic. Do not miss it for it's spookiness and Blood Flood scene that the child envisions.

R-E-D-R-U-M scene, An ol' hag disguised as a sexy seductress until she gets closer to the victim and she shows her real face. These instances make this movie a Halloween Fav I think.

the grudge and the ring as scariest movies? *hello wake up* even my 8 yr old cousin thought grudge was funny. hehe

I think Japanese horror kinda get me. HEHE!. May be I haven't seen enough of them.
The Ring was great I thought. If one is a couch potato late at night all by himself or herself and kinda imagine a little ghoul emerging out of the TV screen as an output when after inserting a dusty little VHS tape from the attic into the player as an input. I think that is kinda spooky. The childless couple picking up that devil in the guise of an innocent child, causing the livestock to die in droves for no apparent reason, the child being imprisoned in the barn with a lethal well; all these dark depictions were pretty convincing instead of a some Dr Jekyll wearing a pretty creative halloween costume from Party City (llike in most supposedly horror movie that turn up being accidental comedy movie).

AZ all this time i thought you were a little mischievous and spoilt kid while in fact you have an 8 year old running around. That was totally my assumption; my bad I guess.;p.

Side note:Exorcist is rated as one of the best horror movies of all time but I did not think so.
