From a business perspective, would these 10 band from US would perform for free, or this band from nepal, would they bear their own expenses, airfare, accomodation, technicle costs.

how about the venue, dont you have to pay for the venue, and how many ppl will show up for the concert, accomodation for the ppl who will come for the concert.

band will pay small registration fee.....coz we are thinking about $5000 grand prize ca
10 bands will be given accomodation/food

Band from Nepal will be refunded with their costs/food accomodation.

We are trying to get together...advertisement/sponsers/venue will be at the hotel...like convention. Stalls will be opens for food(nepali-momo/chewla)...beer/drinks will be cheap
If we vote and get the most wanted band from Nepal people will show.

where is this going to be and when ??? don't make it seperate event.Do it in the same city where ANA is going to be held at the same time.Or u guys will be having hard time to recover the expenses.
It is great idea.food festival along with music festival.If your festival is better than ANA's music and Dj ..i am sure people are going to go.

Anyways .. ANA .newwark,the getto, had bad points.nevertheless.. we should not forget to thank all the volunteers.They did work hard.

You need to organize this event along with ANA.. may be for couple of years as to get people used to this event.You have great chance to attract nepalese crowds there and then .Plus the venue should be relatively closer to the ANA conference.

Ok ..i don't know wether it would be nice idea tokeep this as 3 day event on your first trail because of several reasons one being the main one:COST

If you are trying some sort of amature nepalese band competition .there might be couple of techinical issues ..like visa..If you are trying to make already popular band compete.that would be little hard but nevertheless you will get crowd because one of the 10 might be someone's fav.

Your first one day event can be starting around 1 pm because most of the people get at that time after getting drunk all nite on Friday.you can start food festival from 11 if you want and then have band competition.If u have amature bands u need established and real popular band to be guest band to attract people.If you have established band then their should be no problem.

What is the criteria for your local band ??you know.. you can make it competition state wise like ana sporting events so people coming from the state come to see this.

if the competition is over by the 10-11pm you can turn that hall into Dance hall.

do not try to do lot of things in the same time.i mean you can drop idea about 3 days definately + food festival (if not possible).See and feel this year next year make it 2 dayas then 3 you know..
