Who had thought that 10yrs of their revolution would end up enlightening the nation and its people? Maoists were the first group of people who brought into agenda the necessity of republic nepal for long term peace and a just society. they were also the first group who raised the importance of CA. the "hijada" political parties would never have thought the necessity and importance of CA, if the maoists had not insisted and showed them the path for it. since maoists saw nepali politics before 10 yrs than others, they certainly are the ultimate pathfinders for nepal and nepali people. The only guardian who can lead the nation through all sorts of rough---MAOISTS. Maoism rocks....!!!! Long live Prachanda, Long live Baburam!!! Maoists fan Loote

Good Point Loote,, i have been thinking about the same thing...i read somewhere that madan bhandari and maoists were already asking for all the proclaimations that are done recently about 10 yrs ago. As autocratic and violent these maoists may sound they do have leaders with vast intellect and forsight that the SPA leaders lack. I further think that the peace talk team of SPA lack the intellects and the maoist talk team will totally dominate the peace talk and have things settled maoist way. There is no compitition betn maosits intellect and SPA intellect.

loote, you are right in your sense and in my sense they are fighting for the poor people, and nepal is full of poor, rural poor. In this regard, they will rock nepal. If election is held in free and fair manner, I am quite sure but not cent percent that they will win by majority, lagging behind NC, UML--since these teams are full of people not to be trusted. Even people are thinking why not just give try to these maoists to run the country since People have already seen the bad governance of NC, UMl and the rest for so many years in the past and present. But, loote--i am asking you that will India and other big wigs like EU, US digest Maoist running Nepal as they hate communist. One disadvantage will be that Nepal may be like North korea reeling under sanctions after sanctions from western nations and India if Maoists are given the government to run. What you say??????

loote, of course i agree with you that Maoists are the ones who greatly contributed to this change. Their leadership is definitely intellectua one and had/has a concrete plan of what to do next every time. On the other hand, SPA leaders will be satisfied with the portfolios in the interim government and perhaps first few years of republic Nepal. Girija will be more than happy if Maoists assure him that he be the first president of the nation, Sher BD/MaKuNe will be happier if they get primiership in the interim government and republic Nepal. Do they seek for anything more for people? definitely not. Other SPA ministers/leaders will be just happy if Maoists silently let them do corruption. They all will just agree what Maoists say/demand. After all, whom should they fight for if these corrupt leaders get benifitted personally!!! Maoists are taking advantage of this weaknesses of leaders every then and now. They are trying to impose their idealogies as much as they can (though they can not because people are more intellectual then these so-called revolutionaries!!!). In this sense, these maoists are "chor haru"!! OK???

Maoists ROCK! I agree. They have been rocking-> i) Nation's property (with bobms) ii) People's life (with bombs/guns) iii) Their bank balance like gyane and politicians. They have been literally rocking Nepal as they have license to kill. Like a spoil youngest son who is forgiven for murder, so to speak, they can lietrally get away with any heinous crime. Their mantra: i) It was a mistake. ii) We will look in to the matter. One small word called "apology" stashed like a needle in a haystack and the world is beautiufl yet again. See they have changed. They are after all political party. Let them kill, murder and rape and do anything and everything. they are political party. Believe you me. Or else... I do not want to die. I believe. Maoists ROCK! IndisGuise:)

matyangro, thats a valid point. international community will speak up loud against communism. maoists are well aware of this and that is the only reason which stopped them from attacking ktm. they would have invaded ktm long time back, if they did not care about the international pressure. maoists themselves want to change their image . they don't want the tag of "hardcore communists" . they know that will falter their dominance. the very fact that they are committed with SPA for multiparty democracy, says a lot about their intent. so don't worry ....we are not going to be another north korea or cambodia for the matter. thaha payen, maoists are certainly taking advantage of the inept political parties. that IS politics. even you will grow by default if the your opposition is weak. but that have not changed maoists ideologies. they were for republic from the very beginning. people and even the parties had no idea about what they were asking for. now, after 10 yrs of chaos, everyone seems to have been enlightened. monarchy has been the biggest hurdle in the path of development of nepal. even a dog knows that now....a large part of this enlightment should be credited to maoists and their revolution. Indisguise, as i already mentioned, no revolution is possible without bloodbath. if we digested huge loss of lives during the national integration/unification league initiated by prithvi narayan shah, then why can't we digest maoists violence? prithive narayan shah united nepal politically, so we can call ourselves nepali. The maoists are fighting for a balanced and unjust society which is more pivotal for country's progress. It should be understood that it requires a brute force to remove some 250 yrs old autocratic regime. maosits are catering for that force. accept it. so maoists rock!! fan of maoists loote

It should be understood that it requires a brute force to remove some 250 yrs old autocratic regime. maosits are catering for that force. accept it. so maoists rock!! Lootekukur, I accept! By choice, or by fear is by Maoist’s definition, irrelevant. If autocratic old regime requires a brute force, let us also spare a thought on how much of a bloodbath we have to shed to get rid of doomed atrocious communist ideology. I am actually very eager to see what people would decide in the coming CA, and moreover, by sheer miracle, if Maoists decides to contest an election, how many seats would they win. Either ways, people’s verdict has to be respected. Maoist’s are fighting for balanced and unjust society? Philosophically, perhaps! I’ve always believed that one is what one does. One can have infinite theories, policies, roadmap and such, but the actions, the path that they choose to come to the summit determines who they are. Also, two negatives do not add up to be a positive. By the way that huge loss of life, significant in every way, was 250 years ago. Geopolitical, as well as sociopolitical factors were vague and raw; hence we can not juxtapose two scenarios for rational arguments. Henceforth, I hope they do rock the nation in constructive way. Else we have seen Al Queda rocking world trade centre, and Taliban’s rocking huge national monuments of Buddha and others. Maoists have not done too bad a job, I must say. Time is ripe, and circumstances appropriate; all I can do is hope that the ballots will decide the fate of the nation, rather than coercing, brutality and massacre. For peace and nous prevails.

No doubt that some of their methods were flawed however most of their goals were very legit and reasonable.
