As I packed my bags,
Suitcases filled with cloths
And my modest belongings
My precious plants, framed pictures, and old souvenirs
All neatly boxed, wrapped and ready to be shipped
Tired, I sit on my couch
Thirstily I raise a bottle of water and gulp
My eyes flutter - could it be a sign?

I laid on my bed, closed my eyes,
And then slowly raised my eyelids
On the corner, next to the closet
I saw a white plastic bag
Neglected, wearied, dusty and torn
I stared at it for a moment
Heartbeat loud, paced faster
As if it is you in front of me
Stupid me!
Slowly to the corner, I picked - opened
You smile from the top of the piles
You have not changed
How can you? This was a mere picture
It does not change
Unlike you...
And me...
Then there was this other one, between friends
How that camera caught us stealing those glance
And remember the one in which you cried?
I kept on teasing you until you dried.
Those letters with few words
Inks faded, hardly readable
But amazingly, it's engraved,
In my soul
How is it possible?
I do not even love you anymore.

Purush bro,

You know when we move from one place to another, especially as we all are trying to make the most of the circumstances? And then how we stumble along few seemingly unimportant, forgotten belongings that we have - up until that point, and then you feel it has always been a part of you.

While we pack all the current assets that we have to carry forward - move to new place - an old plastic bag, in my place, resembling trash, but held priceless memoirs stopped me for a moment that compelled me to slobbery.

There is nothing to check, nothing to ask and tell. Let the past bury the dead!

Regarding the afore-posted "Chronicles - Moving" - I am sorry to have confused you little bit. It was not a trash, but akin to one. It was a while plastic bag that I had which kept all my old belongings - pictures, few letters, cards, small gifts, some notes, my old diary (goes back to 1994 - I wrote some stupid things :p, but I was way too young, so... ;)), and others mundane stuffs which perhaps does not have any value but I just have not let it go for the heck of it. (Am I trying to convince myself?;) hehehe

So yes, it was that old bag which I set aside in the corner behind the closet and moved on, never being bothered to go thru it for long time. It was torn; maybe the closet shoved battered and pushed it as it tried to come forth for me to spare a glance. :)

I think everyone, every once in a while, especially while moving from one place to another everyone finds something that takes them back or reminds them of something that compels one to reminisce. It could be picture, old cloth, frames, gifts, letters, cards or anything else that has symbolic value. Is it only me or does others go thru the same experience of encountering those stuffs and dig thru the pile and just live the past for a moment?

Does it not happen to everyone - I wonder? Or am I practicing soliloquy?

Simply amazing. I did find money once i was moving. Boy wasn't I happy eventhoug it was my money. Whenever I am moving, I go through all the old clothes and try to trash em, but just can not. It takes me back to my high school days and many more.
