It's barely been a month since these two heavyweights clashed in the qualifiers, here they are again going against each other in the Confed Cup finals. Argentina vs Brazil. what a Clash? How often do we see these two arch rivals competing at the finals? It's a rarity. Brazil go in to the game with oozing confidence after dispatching the hosts Germany out of the finals while Argentina escaped with a victory against Mexico, in a game which could have gone either way, penalties the decider. Brazil still fresh from their defeat to the Albaceitos, 3-1 in Buenos Aires, will be looking to avenge while the Argies who still haven't lost in the tournament will play to keep that feat intact and ditch Brazil's dream of snatching another title from them. Both these teams boast world class players viz Ronnie, Adriano, Robinho, Kaka (Brazil) Argies: Roman, Tevez, Aimar, Saviola, Heinze, Zanetti, etc. Even with such eye catching lineups these two nations still have their key players missing. Ronaldo, Cafu and Carlos for Brazil and Aayala, Mascharrano, Lucho, Crespo for Argentina. Such is the abundance of skills and talents in these two nations soccer squad and not to mention Which teams wouldn't need contributions from players like Rivaldo and Veron? It's only Brazil and Argentina who can do that. Argentina vs Brazil there's no game bigger than this in sporting spectacle. If u want genuinel entertainment and competition then this is the game. This is the greatest rivalry in modern day sports and this being a final makes it even juicier and intense. My personal opinion: the clash between the two leaves all other contests in the dust say Yankees vs Sox, Arsenal Vs Manutd or Chelsea, Barca vs Real and so on. All these rivalries are no match for the one that is being played on Wed in Frankfurt. Everyone awaits this clash including me with great excitement to see who will finish the champions of the confed cup. As always, i'll be rooting for my one and only Argentina hoping and wishing that they will crush Brazil to a pulp. My predictions 2-1 in Argentina's favor. Player of the tournament: Roman. Key Matchups: Roman vs Ronnie Robinho vs Tevez Enjoy the Game and hope your team wins.

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo:) Yet another title beckons for the mightiest among the mighties; Brazil. And to add to the spice, their arch rival, Argentina are standing against them to spoil the party. But if the law of average do not prevail just about then on wednusday, Brazil should yet again bathe in the glory of victory. Argentina though, would no doubt are aching to avenge their loss against their South American mighty giants in the South American championship finale last year. But perhaps their victory against their arch rival came rather early in the latest world cup qualifier, which to their credit, they won. Key duel should no doubt feature the reigining world player of the year, Ronaldinho and the much improved and settled Riquelme, who showed his worth this season in the Primera Divisi?n after his much hyped and glamorous transfer from his beloved Boca Juniors to Barcelona. Failing to light the stage there, he then was waged out on loan to Villarreal where he shone like the star performer he was in his glory days in Boca. I never quite understood why Barcelona let him go even after they tasted his class against Villarreal on the twilight of the last campaign. Finally a settled Riquelme would not hurt any team and with Deco, they could have had a true 'diamond' trinity. Regarding Robinho, he has performed as expected, tormenting the opposition defence and often provided glimpse of his rather impressive capabilities. But here i would risk to take chance to differ with Seba's analysis regarding a match up between Tevez and Robinho. Tevez, to his credit have been a hot property in his home league and often was regarded as "next' Diego "amazing" Maradona. Premature expectation perhaps, but not outrageous, shall i say. On his day he can be lethal. Nonetheless after his expected move to europe failed to materialize and with a Brazilian league team willing to match a decent european perks, with a mega millionaires from middle east investment, Tevez have not 'really' set the stage ablaze. Even in this tournament, he has not shown or has been consistently incapable to have much influence so much so that he is not even a certainty to start the match. The real question is, would Argentina be able to stop The lethal missile of Adriano's left 'rocket launcher'? Also, with Aimar coming in as substitue in the 3rd quater of second half and injecting the jest, freshness and creativity in the rather clumsy at times but nevertheless entertaining semi-final with the gallant and much improved Mexico; would peckerman allow him to partner Riquleme? Mano a mano, boths have talents a plenty, but inevitably, Brazilians definitely posses the edge. The masters of soccer magics, these sorcerers definately are a standard bearer and a measuring stick for any team in the world. But will that be enough against the arch rivals who are aching to prove to the world that they are, if not better, as good as their more decorated rivals. As ever the loyal Samba fan, my legion was, will and always shall be with the mighty Brazilians. I say it would be a war with many facets with much twists and turn. Other things being equal, if capabilities alone are to be the yard stick for success; Brazilians should take this, if not hands down, at least with 'some' comfort. I say 3-2. My instinct tells me it will be a high scoring duel. Come what may, this as always, promises to the best sporting or othewise, show in the face of the world; which is always the case when these two giants meet. Beauty, grace, talent, hard work, passion, fear, love, drama; you name it, it shall have. Let the drum roll and the dress reharshal for the big one in year's time, begin. Remember Ladies and Gentleman, The show begins on wednusday. Miss it and you missed joy d'voir. Unforgivable. Really. ;) - IndisGuise:)

Brazil will be playing again with 4 attackers again most probably with Robinho ,Adriano,Ronnie and kaka.Let us not forget that Argentina have scond string players minus darting Saviola who got RED CARD against Mexico .Brazil should prevail in this hotly contested all south american final .Adriano will take full revenge for the WC qualifying game . My score prediction . Brazil 4 - Argentina 1

Highfly, which state are ya in? I am travelling for couple of days perhaps, who knows might land in your state. Maybe we can gulp down some 'madira' and enjoy the Mahabharat dress reharshal? Yeuta kura ni. Anyways, don't be disheartened; they will show the re-telecast in Fox sports channel no. 146, depending on which cable service you take. I am planning to catch it in re-telecast sometime in the evening. MAKE SURE you do not open the news channel or even sajha if you can. I will not. and I request everyone not to post the result in a new thread. :) Yesma bhayo bhane ta nakhole bhane thikkai huncha ni. hehe ;) Anyways, like i said, "Remember Ladies and Gentleman, The show begins on wednusday. Miss it and you missed joy d'voir. Unforgivable. Really. ;)" It should be a crime to miss these games, with due respect to other so called "World Championships" ( insert sarcasm, indeed towards American mega 3 leagues). How about we make a 'pot' a la nepal ma popular thio ni "Dhukuti" or something and the winner would get the money to gfo to Germany ti witness THE GREATEST SHOW ON THE FAE OF THE WORLD, LITERALLY. Sabai ko jamma garera. LOL. Yeah right! Anybody care to be sports enough? ;) IndisGuise:)

4-1 Brazil.Argentina outclassed. King of world football know how to tame their opponents when it really matters. First two goals- sublime individual skill, second two- fine finish. Could have been 8. Argentina, totally lost their way in the first half. Aimer restored some morale, but it was too late when he came in. The goal bound header from him was a sensation. But it hardly equalled the brilliance of Adriano, Kaka and Ronaldinho. Could any one believe they would dominate their arch rival this way? I didn't. Pretty early to make a verdict but will there be any team to stop them from winning the next world cup? I don't think so.

I'm in utter disbelief and shock. That was a very sloppy and lousy game from the Argies. I just can't get over that. 4-1. Brazil completely outplayed the Argies. Congrats to Brazil and their fans. Only one positive note from Argentina's perspective, Riquelme was sharp throughout and welcome back Aimar. Other than that there was no room to compliment Argentina's performance.Atrocious. Just got beaten to a pulp. It was all Brazil. Adriano, Kaka and Ronaldinho what goals. Two were screamers from out the D and Ronnie's was a clinical one. Robinho was outstanding. These four put hell of a performance. There was one show where at the side to the post lucio did that acrobatic kick, my word! had that gone in, it would definitely have been one of the best goals ever. Never ceases to amaze me the Brazilians. Very flambouyant and exciting football. One region where Argentina fell deep was in the energy level. They all seemed very tired. Fatigue too played in their fall. There were several other faults which i feel Argentina made. They just didn't seem to play defence. looked like they forgot about it. I felt only Coloccini and Heinze were on defence and even they didn't do a good job. About Delgado in the starting line up, that was one out of the many where they got wrong. They should have started Tevez. Noone was linking up with Figueroa thru Riquelme. Well and u have to admit the Argies were too overwhelmed by their attack just too strong and lethat. Argies were very much missing Maschareno who could have handled Ronnie in the mid and backed their defence way up in the mid. Ayala in defence, Abondanzeri 's presence in the keep and Crespo's finishing touches was painfully being missed. The Keeper Lux did a terrible job infact he always looked shaky throughout the tourney which i mentioned from day one against Tunisia. Anyways the game is over and Brazil once again prove they are simply numero uno. Brazil, Brazil Brazil what else to say. They are the Best ( i Hate to say that) See you in the WCup finals Brazil.

New user and sursab thanks a lot , NOt only the score line of Brazil Vs Argentina did I correctly predicted but I even predicted that half time score would be brazil leading 2-0 and full time 4-1 . I surprised myself this time . Even more surprising is that I had predicted another game Germany leading 2-1 half time and full time would be draw 3-3 ..woow man I cant believe my eyes .Mind you guys I did not watch any of the cofideration games nor did I watch theese last two games .. Its just my pshycic prediction which turn out to be correct WOW WOW WOW I am the happiest person in the world today .you know why ?? cause I won 700000 dollars with 10 dollar bet HAHHAHAHHAHAHA great sardarji you are simply great . NO NO newuser I am not bookmaker but I sure am internet Gambler and for the past two years I have been losing like 60000 dollars .And all of a sudden I win more than 7 lakh dollars .Man this is simply incredible . I won it on double halfu score prediction the total prize money on this pool was around 1.5 million dollar .I wasnt the only one who predicted it correctly there was another bastard too with who I had to split .otherwise If I were the only one then I would have pocketed 1.5 million dollars ... I kne Brazil would win for sure but to predict half time full time scores of both the games, get correct and win is...............no words guys ...... at the moment Sardarji is the richest poster in sajhaland .:0))))))))))) how I won and how much I really won please click below . - http://bet.hkjc.com/football/en/results/dhcp_results.aspx

I did not open this thread yesterday. No Sir. Even replied highfly in the other thread, just avoid the update on the finale of the showdown. After I dragged myself home tried to check the time for re-telecast, I could not find any. There was 3rd place match between Germans and Mexicans going on. It turned out to be quite fine. If Germans will get a wee bit more experience they can cause quite a trouble in about a year's time. Mexicans; if they would be as good as they were this tournament, would certainly be the dark horse. I would not go as far as terming them as possible champions, but they can raise some eyebrows in Deutschland come next June/July. Now back to the finale. After i flipped thru the channels and searched thru every possible channel, I thought, "What if it is not today. Did I check the date coprrectly?" I had seen newuser post in this thread, so I thought MAYBE he posted to tell us this. So I decided to have a quick look, promised myself it would be just so much as I would require to know if the match actually took place or not. Yeah yea, I know. That was F**kin stupid. Dang!.... all my patience and excitement was gone. 4-1 re bhayo aba.:( Jhan sports news ma pani mute ma rakheko. So that if they show that in the news, I would not know who won or what was the score. And I literally shouted, F**K NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Yesto dikka lagyo ki ke bhanne. I so wanted to savor this game; after all this game has been my passion, to tell the truth, unlike anyone or anything it has always brought me joy, thus this game has been my love, since the first day I dated her, in my early chilhood. How I remember when she first kissed my feet ;). Well not really, ( Used to play shooting with my dad "re" when I very small), but i certainly do remember when she kissed my feet and what not ;) way back, much earlier than when I was legally OK to make love. But I did it with her, and the feelings were mutual.:p. Now don't get me started here. I can write a whole another novel on "beautiful game." Trust me, if this was a formal course, I would be 5.0 student with doctorate on each and every possible tidbit. I remembered this scene in the movie "Fever Pitch" ( haven't watched the movie though), where the guy closes his ears and starts to blabber to avoid hearing the score of the game. I just could not close my eyes.:( Feri soche, maybe newuser was being sarcastic to Sardarji. :). MAYBE.

Brazil shall win, and will win. This is how I feel; alway; regardless of who they play with. SO that was not an issue. But it was Argentina after all, and you never know in soccer. Finally at 11 PM the re-telecast was on. As soo as Adriona lauched the left footed missile destined to shake the onion bag, I knew it was true. 4-1 it is. Deeka lagyo. :(, but i could not sleep as well. That would be a crime, nah make that SIN. So I stayed, watched and my, what a game. A total blow out. Brazil defeated Argentina, no, make that "destroyed, thrashed, humiliated." Argentina, a team I respect, must give more than that. It appeared that theyb left their shooting boot in River plate. It was the historical landmark in the sense that this is the largest victory margin for Brazil against Argentina in 37 years. :). Not only this, It makes Brazil a second nation to hold 3, yes 3 senior national title at the same time. France did it when it won the confederation cup after earning world and european crown. Now Brazil claims that distinction with world, continental (South American) and confederation titles. More than 3 goals per game was scored. Adriano, who stood up for self-exiled Ronaldo won the golden boot with the 5 goals. couple of his goals were screamers, but it was the 5th goals, 4th in the finale, that took my breath away, It was not just a goal, it was magic. Almost entire team got the touch. the ball was dancing on Brazilians feet and Argentinian were anywhere but close to it. It reminded me of a pride, a group of lions; how they attack, tormenting, torturing from every angel and BANG goes for the kill, when they attack big buffalos. On the match itself, I was disappointed to see Peckerman being defensive in his mindset and restricting Aimar in bench for an hour or so. Riquelme did what he could, but he was marked tightly by experienced and unforgiving Emerson who have something to prove in the world stage as he was injured in the last world cup and had to vacant his place in the world conquering Samba kings. Kaka, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Robinho, so much so that even Roque Juinor had a good game. Now that is interesting. Lucio, Ze Roberto, Cicinho, and even Dida were an unsung hero for the change. Much praise should be bestowed on Brazilian coach Prareira for sticking with his attacking strategy. After all how many teams in the world would play 4 attacker against Argentina. Argentina had 2 attacker, with Figuerera and Riquelme. ( Attacker : Offensive players, strikers+offensive midfielders). At last, just think of it, this is not even the exact team that would be in the show next june/july. With Roberto carlos, Ronaldo, Cafu for brazil and Crespo, Ayala for Argentina, both teams, at least on paper appears to have lot more to offer. Oh time for me to report for duty now. It shall be an intresting day. Oh yeah, honorable mention: those beautiful Brazillian belles. Now that alone shall make Brazilian team an appealing proposition to back. Can not see them sad now, can i? ;) IndisGuise:)
