CBT nugget videos were easy to grasp beside Cisco pub books. Don't forget to check youtube for tutorials. Also practice is very important. If you don't have physical equipment, use GNS3 emulator, search online for working image files of routers. I took my CCNP about three years ago.

Packet tracer is not that good for ccnp level, unless cisco updated it.

And, I met this old white guy who talks about getting certification after working in the field like 2 decades. I asked how the heck did he get the job without any certification and then he said that someone he knew in the field got him in the job. His job was to manage routers and switches. Some lucky guy like him even gets by without certification and do the real jobs and here we're struggling to get the edge even after certifications. Phew...

Hi daru, hope u don't mind me asking this but where are you located at? In the city where I currently live there are some boot camps to help you pass the test...I was thinking about joining them...how long do u think u need to study before u can take the test..cisco says this is for so.e one with a 1 and half years of networking experience

If u just need a certification -cbt nugggets+gns3+dumps is enough. If you want to go in depth use ine ccnp videos with gns3. If you want to go further study cbt nuggets and ine ccie videos. You should atleast go through routing videos ccie from cbt nuggets and ine(if you have time), if u want to start your career in cisco networkig. Good luck!!
