I just got the news from my HR that my I140 is approved. I filed I140 and I485 together in Eb2. The USCIS received the application in early May. When can I expect to get my green card ? Please share your experience.

When will I receive my EAD then ? I have not gotten anything in mail so far.

 you will get combined EAD/AP card (if you have applied for both) usually within 3 months of ur application. you will have i485 approval within 4 months if you are lucky enough otherwire 5-7 months or even more. 

the best is to visit the site mentioned by anon. You will get full picture. 

Thank you Ark. I was also thinking the same. However, one of my firned said, approval of I140 is actually the approval of Green card and I shall be getting the card anytime now. That's what made me confused.

 how long did it take you through eb2 category? and if yo don't mind telling, are you with an IT consulatancy?

@kalopani, It has been pretty quick for me. I got my labor approved pretty quick. My Biometrics appointment was on mid-June. I hope everything works out easily, and I get the card of inpedendence.. The card which removes all the unnecessary hassles(related to visa-status of course) from my life. . No I am not with an IT consultancy.

 Well then you need to think twice before taking any suggestions from that fren now on. 

i140 approval is one of the criteria to be satisfied for green card approval.  
I485 approval is the green card approval.

Have you got your green card? If yes, how long did it take? I just wanted to have some ideas in my case, mine was cuncurrently filed all forms around end of last month. It's EB2 -PERM case. How long will it take to have EAD& AP and finally GC??
