 i eat at home-good for you and your pocket! i don't drink-good for you and your pocket! idk about the rest. i carry a phone that allows me to talk, text, and use little bit of net, cheap huh? but serves the purpose! i keep track of my bank statement once in a while to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. but i still buy random stuffs like filters and lenses for my camera, random electronic gadgets but still i save quite well. i don't have a credit card, no debts, have a few thousands savings, college is running smooooth. just cut down expenses on not so important things. when i'm trying to buy something, i try to get the best deal. before that i think whether it's my need or a want. if it's something i need, i'll buy it. if it's something i want, i usually think and wait for a while before buying it. i don't know what else i can suggest you. what about buying a khutruke?

 Go by the money you need not by the money you have, you see what I am saying.

First calculate how much you need?
Gas-
Rent-
Phone bills-
internet -
restaurants -
Groceries -

for me it is 1800 but I set aside 2000. I have 2 different bank account where my pay check goes. so  2000 goes to one and the rest goes to the other account. I never touch the other bank account, +/- I manage with the 2000.

It works for me, I am not sure if it will work for you.

Saving has direct relation with earning, do you have enough earning then think of saving otherwise you will be in- justice yourself. Bodmas's advice start when your income level is over to your daily means.
Saving = Income - day-to-day living expenses.
If you are living paycheck to paychecks, we must learn to budget and stay within it.

New Advice; You do not have unusual habit, that is what people like to do. You need to switch the job that gives more money. Life is mortal and enjoy it as much as you can.

1st -  Everyone likes trying different cusine and eat out but when it comes to economic condition have you ever thought if you cut that habit you might be able to save little more then what you spend eating outside . How about try to cook different stuffs at home yourself by using recipes through internet . I bet you will save half the money you spend outside trying different cuisine but if you insist going out you can keep up with it once in a while .

2nd -  Everyone has own interest but you have rest of your life to collect the wines first try to save some money and make sure you have enough money to secure your future .
