I am in F1status(USA)  andI am graduating December 2011. My visa is expiring on October...can I apply for an OPT after my graduation??

Yes bro u can ...
Once u graduate from college then u can apply for ur opt .. It has nutting to do with ur stamped visa... I would suggest u apply 90 days earlier before u graduate that way u will have Ur opt cars on ur hand and ready to work...

U could apply for OPT within two months after graduated date. But better to apply before three months of graduate date.

I'd suggest you to apply withing 60 days before graduation. Dhilo garyo bhane opt card auna pani dhilo hunchha and sometimes your opt duration gets shortened.
