It is a surprising way to rank nations.
Nepal for instance was ranked coz of their stupidity........ carrying 140 pounds weight on thier back while climbing the himalayas, fighting in every part of the world for other without any cause (except monthly wages), never getting anywhere on time .......

Al these three things are not acceptable in modern civilised society.
Carrying anything above 23 kilos as a purpose of work is a safety hazard and carrying 70 kilos going uphill with/without oxygen is nothing but hard reality of life for people living in the worlds remotest part of the world.
Fighting for the British and the Indians as a salaried soldiers is not just unethical but also politically incorrect. We try to establish ourselves as "Zone of Peace" but we are no more than paid goons and strangely almost all of us are proud of this fact.
Now the world has described Nepalese as one of the poorest time keeper, how can this be good.

This listing is definately not something to be proud of.

 gyanguru, it makes sense.

But at least, these people are working honestly unlike the politicians and corrupted administrators who are preying upon the fees levied from such poor people.

GG, All those things are applied after you have the basic standard of living. Our brothers are not fighting for other countries coz they stupid but in the hope of giving a better life for their near and dear ones. Its a paradigm of noble act. If u have to struggle just to sustain, then things like patriotism flies out of the window.

I really could not understand why they listed nepalese in the coolest nations.
There was no any good reason provided.

May be they could have written himalayas are very cold.

Why can't people just be proud that we are the 10th coolest nationality. Why do you have to read too much into, the reasons for being consider cool. We are what we are!. Next time somebody asks you where you are from. Just say "From Nepal, The land of world's 10th coolest people ".
And on another note, stop brining negativity to everything.

To all,
Neither I am a negative thinker nor a poser. I am a realist.  Yes, for our people all these deeds are " Struggle for existence. "

What I differ is the view of the writer/judge of the article. The definition of cool used in the context. No doubt our people do the most difficult and inhumane jobs in the world, but given other opportunity, none of us will do it. It just rubs in our wound.
