Hi friends, I am goin Nepal after 3 yeras so I want to have some good time and memorable trip. Can you please suggest me some ideas? Thanx Though I am surfing all the related sites in detail, I would like to hear first hand experiences. - How much it costs for paragliding in Pokhara and if it includes pick up to the spot? I want to have quick and economical shot. - Any other LUXURY Coaches to Pokhara and Butwal than GREENLINE? Ticekt price ( roughly )and the places to get. - Can we go and get back in a single day for a BUNGEE JUMP at BhoteKoshi? - Any good, clean and affordabel hotels in PKR around lakeside and Nagarkot, u wanna recommend? (Max 1,000 NRs per night) - Cool cafes/bars to hangout in Ktm/Pkr other than Himalayan Java and Jeans. And any sports bar showin Football, cricket live in big screen? - Other places to visit while in Nepal??? Thnx friends.......

More like Domestic tourism.
Will comment on the rest later, but the paragliding in Pokhara is quite expensive. We were offered $75 per person for one session.

If you were that poor three years ago, I suggest you to buy something good for your family. Help them buy new house, buy them new clothes. That will make them much happy. Remember how happy you were three years back when you came to US and how happy your parents were when they sent their dream along with you to US.

Avoid ktm valley - it is no longer a place to live or enjoy vacation for nepali. Go to sauraha .. you migh like it there.
And you are looking for clean, yet cheat hotels at ~US$14 / night.. and that is something difficult to find I guess.
And yeah, there is something called google / internet.. that might help you to gather useful info for your trip.

Some points from my last year's experience:
@ Nagarkot hotel: go early and you have to bargain to have good deal. You can have good hotel within Rs 1000/nght. Although their food is expensive.
@ Pokhara: there are lots of tourist bus service to Pokhara from Kathmandu. You have lots of choices. Go to Jamal early morning, you can also bargain, I don't like to do this but this is the truth. Or you can call the bus service and reserve seat.
Same applies to the hotels in Pokhara.
Have fun.

I don't understand why people are being so cynical here.
The dude is just asking your "sar-sallah" on fun and affordable things to do during his vacation after three years, not your sister's hand in marriage.
C'mon now.
Obviously now that he has some greenbacks to his name, more opportunities to new experiences are available to him. If you know of those, would it hurt to give him some suggestions?
I see no reason to rudely remind him to take care of his family and what not. I am sure he does that very well.
I too have not been back to Nepal for a while now. So good suggestions would help me as well. And I am sure there are many who are similar.

Dude,
If you go to Pokahara, try to stay out of the city and go hiking/ book a hotel in places a little north of it "Beni", "hemja" etc... beautiful place!
Do not spend much of your time in KTM, however make sure you gather all your wellwishers in a medium size get together, this will save you time.
travel by plane as much as possible, safer and quicker!
much can be done in a month.
peace

Khalisisi's post reminded me. I would like to do the Ghandruk trek if I get a chance. Another thing I would like to do is, being a history buff, I want to visit old temples and historical sites in the valley and out.

La hareky bro, Nepal ma chill garnu
For para gliding, I am not sure about the price, but they will take you to the spot ( sarangkot ko dado ;)you dont have to worry about that.
About bunjee jump, you can buy a whole package that includes ride to the spot and back to the place they pick you up. Dont know about the price here too. But they are having problem this time because the villagers want that bridge for their transportation. Hope nothing goes bad by the time you reach there.
Looks like you love the shot of adrenaline, try rafting if they offer but I think its too cold ;)
Ghandruk is another beautiful place to visit.
Most of the hotels around lakeside are affordable as long as it is not festival time ( like street festival). + tax lol;
I would suggest you to stay one more day in pokhara and visit chamera gufa ( north side of pokhara ) , davis fall ( guess south side), and gupteshwar gufa ( next to davis fall). If time permits, you can enjoy sunrise from the sarangkot.
Just for you info: baglung buspark is kind of redlight zone of pokhara.
Clubs are not that good, but if you like to go club, there are few in lakeside area. Lotus/Magic is good . There is another called paradiso ( never been there so not sure about the name).
I would rather go to "Busy Bee" and have fun drinking and listening live performance by local artist than clubs.
Have fun harkey bro,

Harkey, Paragliding will cost u rs. 5000 for an hour of air ride if the price has not increased recently. For khaireys, they have been charging 7000. So, it is worth it, not costly.
