I am interested to do PHD in Economics and Finance. Any body have information about the good University.

Did u already take GRe and got 750+ in maths section.

University of Chicago...probably the best place for Economics...32 Nobel prizes in 40 years

have a friend who graduated from there who scored 1490 in GRE..botttom line is you need a close to full marks in math and a relevant experience.

Yes University of Chicago would be my no 1 Priority (After all they publish the journal of political Economy and Thorsten Veblen was the first editor En Chief.)  More modern theories also have been published out of there. I personally adore is " A Theory of Fads, Fashion, Custom, and Cultural Change as Informational Cascades" by  Sushil Bikhchandani,  Ivo Welch,  and David A Hirshleifer; if you are interested on the financial  /psychological aspect. Go for a double docrate Econ and Psychology--- the new trend.  (I did not had the base to go for it, – I wish, baccha ma dharai chorara pass nabhayako bhaya, I would have made it)

Second choice would be Washington University. - Do some research and you would find out, why?

Third (Doesn’t matters) - Harvard, Minnesota, Princeton, UNL, Stanford, Boulder aadi -ittadi.

Just check US News and World Report.  They rank grad schools every year.  It really depends what field within Economics you want to study and who the faculties are.
