Hi guys,
Seems like affordable ticket for Nepal for 2nd week of May seems only via New Delhi. Others are way too expensive ie 2K + . How hard it will be via New Delhi? Anyone has worst/ok type of experience on this.Thx

Nothing hard. Indian Airports are much more professional than our Nepali ones. Just make sure with your travel agent about the Airlines taking responsibility to transfer your luggage in Delhi to board it on the Kathmandu bound plane.

One note of caution - Delhi Airport runs over capacity. It's very crowded. You many not find empty seats and may have to crash on the floor if you have over night transit. This could be a bit hard on your back.

While in transit in Delhi, they will get you to look at your luggage to ensure everything is in order before they load it onward to Kathmandu. If you do not hear from the Airlines folks, make sure you talk to them to see all your bags in New Delhi.

If you are travelling on Nepali passport, you can go to the rest area just outside of the airport for something like 30 rupees charge. If you have only 16 hrs. and you do not know anyone in the city, I do not recommend you getting out of the airport. They will rip you off left, right and center if you did. I heard that there is an Airport Hotel in the transit area, but I never saw that. 16 hours is not too long to kill, so I would not bother venturing out in a filthy place like Delhi.

And If you are really getting out of the airport you MUST take all your luggage with you and check back in for the next flight.

How about if i take 2 laptop with me along with some other electronic goods. Is that going to be a problem there during check there? I guess they will check both in Delhi and kathmandu?

No, they don't even open your luggage in Delhi if your luggage are for up to KTM. Only place you have to clear the custom is in KTM airport.
