Enough is enough!
Upendra Yadav, the President of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum in a threat loaded statement made today July 27, 2008, has said that the country may have to face an upheaval if continue hurting the sentiments of the entire Madhesi community.
Mr. Yadav was making his views at the Constituent Assembly meeting today.
“Do not irritate the Madhesi community…the entire country may have to pay heavily for that…we nevertheless request all and sundry to stop the protestâ€, Yadav said.
Mr. Yadav was referring to the ongoing nation wide protests against Vice President of the Republic, Honorable Parmananda Jha for taking oath of the office in India’s national language, Hindi.
“We will not give up to our culture and language-Hindi come what mayâ€, Yadav further threatened.
“We have already said that we are always against the idea of a single language and a single culture in the diverse society like Nepalâ€, he continued.
Similarly, Hridayesh Tripathi, the leader of the Tarai Madhesh Loktantrik Party also speaking at the CA meeting threatened that further protest against Mr. Jha could invite trouble for the entire country.
