The meeting held at an undisclosed location on Thursday decided to suspend Chairman Singh charging with him "five serious offences".

"We are investigating into the charges against Singh and he is now suspended from the party's chairmanship," said Ranabir Singh, one of the politburo members, over  the telephone.

Of the total five politburo members of the group, remaining four -- Ranabir Singh, Bibash Bidrohi, Chandrashekhar and Krish -- also issued a press statement Saturday, asking Jwala Singh to be present in person in the politburo meeting with clarification in black and white within 30 days.

The four also blamed Jwala Singh, whose real name is Nagendra Paswan, for financial embezzlement. As per the statement, their chairman Singh bought one bigha and 15 kaththas of land at Parsahi of Madhubani district in India in the name of his wife, with the money collected as "donation" for the party.

In the statement, they also alleged that Singh failed to return seized land of Rajeshwor Sah and Bindeshwor Sah of Mirchaiya of Siraha district, played a negative role during the CA poll and also failed to forge alliance with other agitating tarai groups.

"He had even attempted to defame and murder own party cadres several times in the past," the four blamed.

When contacted for comment, Jwala Singh, said it was a display of "anti-revolutionary character" by some of his activists who he said deviated from the party ideology.
