NA ready to obey orders of elected govt
Nepal Army has expressed its commitment to work under the direction of an elected government, whoever comes to power.
The
army representative in Joint Monitoring Coordination Committee (JMCC)
Shiva Pradhan is learnt to have said so during the meeting of the JMCC
held Tuesday in the capital.
Stating that the army
has traditionally followed the orders of the legitimate government,
Pradhan said NA would work in cooperation with the government.
It
is the first meeting of JMCC held after the constituent assembly
elections. Representatives from NA, People's Liberation Army and United
Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) briefly discussed the election process
and post-election scenario. nepalnews.com ia Apr 15 08
Even Nepal Army has no problem with the situation in Nepal and some mothafokers are showing their ass shamelessly in Sajha.

People here are discussing the bad things with true communism. But i donot think the Maoist share the exact ideology. They know what is better for nepal then just blindly following every aspect of communism from history. think about it. Many people think that the Maoist party published its manifesto before the election to attract votes from all areas and would later disregard it. If this is the case then they shall be no different than any other parties like NC and UML. And i am sure the Maoist are aware of it and will not deviate from what they promised. Just my opinion. Any one else is free to discuss this matter.

If they follow the one-party system like in N. korea and China, they will be finished. No one will tolerate such system in Nepal, including India. And without the help of India, no government could sustain in Nepal. Prachande has already understood this fact. Wait and see, CPN-M government will be no different than the '9 Months' government of CPN-UML. Till then, lets have patience and give them a try!

I agree with you maddog, all we have is hope from maoist to do good and bring peace in country and stablize economy. I can assure you that people aren't enjoying to see tears in the eyes of widow, but on the other side, reelecting the NC and UML leaders would be stumping on the souls of brave nepali citizens that died during the Jan Andolan of 1990. These NC and UML netas have repeadly played jokes with nepali peoples life by initially motivating them to fight and die for what they wanted and latter forgetting all about it for their personal gains. My hope is that the Maoist should compensate to the families that suffered due to their violent act and move forward with no more violences.

The nepal army seems to agree to work together with the new government. I can only see the problem coming from PLA. We might see a power stuggle during the integration process. Hopefully Prachanda and Baburam can well tame their shipahis and come into common ground. Need more communication between NA and PLA to avoid all possible contradictions and post conflicts.

Maoists have already lied to innocent Nepali people. They have promised two different contrasting things to their own cadres and to general people. If they don't bring hardcore communism like in cuba or korea then aspirations of their cadres, PLAs and thousands of PLA fighters who have died for their ideology will be cheated. But if they bring hardcore communism then all the voters and those who were forcefully made to vote would be cheated. So my friends I would say never trust communists, you never know whom they cheat and whom they use. About integration of guerrillas, I think if they goto the government, they wont do it. Integration of gurrilas, going back before Sugauli Sandhi with India, and cutting off british gurkha are some of their way to fool innocent Nepalese. They will do nothing. In fact they can do nothing on these issues, they also know it.

If the politically motivated PLA forces are integrated into the professional NA, that willbring up a big disaster. This will not only create disputes and formation of differentgroups within the army for power struggle based on radical and political beliefs of the PLAforces and the professional ideas of the NA troops, but also will deeply weaken the nationalArmy up to the level that it will not be able to function well. Furthermore, it will alsodemoralize the NA troops that have been guided and commanded by certain core values and principles. No matter who comes into the power, the NA should not be politicized or else the countrywill find itself in another grave danger.

The number of NA is already above 100,000 which is obviously unnecessary for country like Nepal. So I think there will be no integration of NA and so called PLA. The NA should be restructured and its number should be reduced to around 10-15,000. Qatar, UAE, Malaysia, etc. would be the perfect place to work for PLA cadres.

WHAT YOU PEOPLE THINK ABOUT THESE QUESTIONS now that terrorists are in power in Nepal:
1. Army is not a political organization. How will they cope, THEY=current brigadiers, lt cols, majs, capts, lts who were earlier fighting these Terrorists?
2. What about BUSINESS people: they were ransomed, beaten, threatened, looted etc. How will they accept them?
3. What market ECONOMIC system will these terrorists follow: will they follow SOCIALISM?CAPITALISM?COMMUNISM? or TERRORISM once again?
4. What about the EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM: will our history be put in dustbins? Will the boys/girls learn about Karl Marx, Mao, Hitler, Stalin?
5. MOST IMPORTANT: How will USA accept them? USA still considers them terrorists? How will UK, France, Germany, Canada, Australia accept them? I thought these western countries are for DEMOCARCY!!!!!!
6. WHAT FREEDOMS WILL COMMON CITIZENS HAVE?
7. WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO WORSHIP IN TEMPLES? WILL HINDU FESTIVALS BE PUBLICLY CELEBRATED?
8. WHAT ABOUT JUSTICE TO 15000+ INNOCENT PEOPLE KILLED by these terrorists????????????
There are many questions in my mind like everyone else who LOVES NEPAL. But I feel the real test will be if these TERRORISTS survive in power for just 100 days!!!!!!!!
