The upcoming CA election in April can be used to decide the fate of Gyanendra. How? It's so simple. Just include a line in the same voting ballet - Want Monarchy or not? Yes or No. So simple! Millions can be saved too. Why don't any politician bring this simple solution about deciding the fate of Gyanendra when he is saying, Nepalese should decide.

Since the CA election is supposed to be something that will potentially shape Nepal's future, it might be important to look at both good and bad sides of this idea. To avoid my personal bias, read both pros and cons of a 'direct democracy' which should be quite relevant to your question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_democracy

You are right paagal, If people want monarchy then they will vote for it and if they don't then they will vote against it. Nobody wants those unelected- leader to decide the Nepal's Fate.

You are right. But why r we just saying leaders as 'unelected', at least many of them were elected 10 years ago. But King has never been elected in Nepal. None of us, even kattar rajabadi haru , were expecting current king before jestha 19 of that black year.
If u ask kattar rajabadhi, they will blame parties and maoists.
if u ask me , i blame king. (note: I m not maoist and i blame monarcy as a whole for the disorder)
We all have our solid points to discuss and support our idea.
But who is suffering? Not King, not parties, not maoist, not even NEPAL but its we Nepalis who are in trouble. Nepal is just dhunga mato, its nepalese that makes it Nepal.
Its just a problem, but I don't have solution.

Thats why Let's take this to people and lets see what they have to say. I am not rajabadi but why not take this issue to people of Nepal. why not put this thing in ballot in coming election.

Well, this sounds like a good idea but i think there will be again some problems with simple yes or no. Let us assume that 65 % said yes and rest said no. Then, again large chunk of voice will go unheard and sooner or later there will be some problem. Again in the 35 % also you will have people who want complete monarchy, constitutional monarchy and ceremonial monarch. Though addressing all people's demands voice may be near to impossible but at least the decision needs to be acceptable to all the sections of the society. IMO, it is in this scenario that the constituent assembly can play a major role. However, with the present political leaders I think the constituent assembly looks a distant away and even if it is held we all know the capability of the present day leaders.

Ocram . Pagal jasto kura nagara. In which country is the king elected. And even king is saying people to decide the future of monarchy. If people wants monarchy then it is almost equivalent of being elected. It is the fact that Nepal was a lot more integrated under king than now.
