Hi guys, Do you know any good sites to buy cheap Nepal phone cards from? I use to use this site: Nepal calling cards [www.nepal-phone-card.com] earlier, but it seems to be under maintainance. If you do, please let me know. Thanks, Samyak

Samyak, please try TOMATOTEL cards. I have been using it for about one and a half year. Some times the minutes will not be good. I will say it is not great but it is ok. They charge surgcharge on top of the price of the card, which is weired but no choice. Sometimes they do have good cards for nepal. I am just a regular customer of it. Please let me know how you feel about it. Thank you.

Smyak:Seems you are new in USA and looking for calling card to be in touch with your friends and family. Are you making enough to pay school ( hoping you are a student )?. Pass your phone number and good time to reach to friends and families. Ask them to call if they want. You will have time to check on your true friends and while you figure out the best plans. You can not keep your friends just calling them , it is two way communication. Do not be proud of being USA and your duty to be in touch with them. It cost only RS 2 per minutes from Kathmandu. I'm not trying to be financial mean but a practical person.

naya sadak is right! if you have friends/family in ktm its better for them to call here, in putalisadak near ulci it only costs 1 ruppees per minute, thats 60 minutes for a dollar!
think about it!
and u dont even have to spend time on buying over the net!

Its almost 4 year I have been using Himtel Cards. I think himtel is great . we just call them and they give pin instantly . If we have problem we can call them again and they will resolve it soon. Moreover the Nepali calltakers are good and helpful.
I just call twice a month and Himtel have been great to me. I have tried tomatotel, Nirvanatel, Extremephone cards, SDI cards, dollarphone cards also . Among all these Himtel have proved to be great for me .

Nepko Biswas:
But now TOMATOTEL has problems. They do not send the PIN no immediately , have to wait like forvever. Several times the pin no came the next day which sucks!!! and the service that they have is declining. They even do not respond now when i send an email or call them. I will not be using their service any more. I am looking for another calling card service which gives me minutes and good service. There should be some one to answer the call or response in 5-10 minutes after our purchase. We buy cards to call immedaitely but if we do not get pin nos instantly then it is worthless to use their service. Also it is expensive as we have to pay surcharge. It was good as i said but now it is getting bad. Please let me know if you have any other calling card services. We are customer and we want satisfaction because we are paying. I am frustrated now with TOMATOTEL and am looking for another calling card service.

Check local sti cards, even in internet. It give 41-43 minutes for $2 if you finish in one dial. Of visit local phone cards store and check for minutes to NEpal. DO not rely on shajhaites.

I think you are absolutely right Nayasadak. Seems like you too (like me) are frustrated with your freinds and family who never call you but say 'Kina kata harako? Kina yetika din samma phone nagareko..?" when you call them. I came to US about 6 months ago and i think I have received at most 5 calls from Nepal. Most of the time I have to call them, even though its so cheap to call from Nepal. Anyways...I used to use tomatotel too. But one thing I dont like about them is that their server is not secure.
