unforgiventale, Its the worrying thats causing the lack of sleep. You reach home as 12:30 thinking you only have 5 and a half hours of sleep (which you think is not enough) and by the time you've changed and done the necessary bathroom duties, the time has now become 1 o'clock. You think 5 hours only and begin to worry that you ahve to sleep...Then as you roll around in bed trying to shut your eyes to no avail, the time has now become 1:30, so 4 and a half remaining...And the saga goes on and on! The root of the cause here is the worrying: My suggestion, don't think about when you have to wake u, Let your alarm do it for you. And yeah, like you, I too am in the same boat! LOL.

Move TV in bed room and watch golf channel, you will be in deep sleep in no time ;-)
Seriously, you have something in your mind that is bothering lately. Take things easily, just let it go and don't worry about them.

Reverse count nos from hundred to one but not trying to remember it. If it doesn't work, think of yourself putting brick on brick. This has helped me many times.

Try to get enough sunlight during the day and try to close the windows carefully so that you don't get any exposure to light during the night. Your body's biological clock will start functioning better. Also exercise in the morning helps in getting sleep on time. Also go to sleep at the same time on weekends as you would on weekdays. If you follow all three ideas, they should help.

I fall asleep very fast by remembering my past, I don't think of my past but simply just remember the happy moments and let the mind flow. That help me relax my mind. I guess people are different so this may not help every one, but it helps me. I guess people have trouble falling asleep is because they think and imazine too much while they are in the bed and ready to sleep. If you start thinking of your future and make future plans, or rebuilding your past (By thinking 'what if') you will never be able to sleep. Just don't think, flow with your mind, by remembering your past insident, people you mate, things you did as a image in your head, and don't put any thought to it, just remember. Sweet dreams....
