Hi Guys, I have got couple of questions regarding the H1b visa. How do you file H1b? Can you do by yourself or do you need to seek help from Attorney? I have given interview to a company for job and the employer at the company has told me to tell him about the application process as soon as possible so that he can decide if he wants to hire me. Guyz, could you tell me the application process, forms to fill up and fees, lawyer if it is needed, etc. ? I do not know anything of it right now. Thanks.

You can prepare H1-b applicatiton on your own but your employer (HR person or your manager) has to sign on the forms. The return address should also be your employer's address. You do not need to hire attorney for your filing. Just check I-129 instruction properly and you would know what forms and supporting documents are required. It is very easy steps if you follow properly. There are lots of instructions on online that you can search and find all required info.
You do not need a lawyer to file any immigration matter..........

Good Idea, if you hire a lawyer, he/she would charge you at least $1500 fee. If you know procedures, you would do yourself. One thing, if you hire a lawyer and if allocated number for H1 is out as last year, he/she wouldn't return that $1500 fee.
