KATHMANDU, Aug 24 - Maoist Chairman Prachanda Friday proposed to postpone the Constituent Assembly elections to Baisakh (mid-April to mid-May).
Stating that there was no point making a rush for the November 22 polls, the Maoist Chairman said that it would make no difference if the polls are held in mid-April-mid-May.

Addressing an interaction programme organised by the CPN-M in the capital today, Prachanda said that instead of forcing the elections as in the days of the Panchayati regime, his party would have no objection if the polls are postponed to mid-April.

“We cannot and we should not tolerate any elections that resemble the Panchayati regime polls,” said Prachanda. “To hold the CA polls in a true sense, there should be a round-table conference and we have always stressed on that.”

Prachanda said that it was a bit inconvenient on the part of his party to reach out to the people asking for votes when the conflict victims are yet to get compensation and the state of the ‘disappeared’ is yet to be made public.

Prachanda also accused the other parties of postponing the polls in June.

The Maoist Chairman said that his party made a mistake by signing agreements with the seven parties in a hurry that too without the people’s mandate just after signing of the 12-party agreement.

“We, indeed, feel like we have been backstabbed. We signed the agreements anticipating that the CA polls would immediately happen when the entire population of the country was in favour of a republican set up,” said Prachanda.

“Now when it is said that we are against the polls, it hurts.”

Think about it, by postponing the election, it is a win-win situation for both Maoist, Congress, and Communists. Only the general people is affected by this phostpone. They are infact benefitting by this postphone big time. What kinda comment is that "It wouldn't make a difference if election is postphoned" ??? My answer ---> TIME, valuble time is lost you ASS. People don't have time for these drama.

You are a big fool if you had ever thought the CA election will be held in Manghsir or Paush or Magh of 2064 or 2065 or 2066. If you are still not able to understand these cunning political trick till now...you are responsible for your own future dude. These politician will never want to face an election as it will risk their future. Why worry about people mandate when you are getting all you want without risking the trouble of election. I have said this before and saying it again, there is no CA election or election of any kind in Nepal's near future. No election will be held till army takes control of the whole Kingdom (Yes you read it right it is still a Kingdom) and put these current bastards out of their current misery (you may interpret it as per your wish).

Where are all those Maoists Chamchaharu in Sajha.. they used to bark a lot those days. How come they vanished? Or is it that they went back to Nepal in order to harvest the crops while Maoists are in the Govt. I heard that few maoist supporters went to Nepal.. and they are earning 8 lakhs 10 lakhs within few months by capturing projects from foreign NGOs and even UNDP etc.
