I haven't found anything more confusing than digging into the US immigration process. I thought why not to throw out to interested sajha users to share their experience. I know there are pretty good expert in this field out here.
My question is about he eligibility criteria for EB2 - Exceptional Ability category. USCIS website explains under "EB2 Eligibility and Filing" that the candidate must have documentation to meet at least three out of the listed six items. The first one is:
1) An official academic record showing the alien has a degree, diploma, certificate or similar award from a college, university, school or other institution of learning relating to the area of exceptional ability;
What exactly are they looking for in this? Is the Master's degree certificate in the related field work? But it is only the advanced education in the field, not sure how can that be used as a documentation for an exceptional ability! It appears the intent of this category is to grant visa to an individual with some exceptional ability that the industry can benefit of, although the position does not specifically require to have minimum of Master's degree education.
Can a master's degree be used as one of the six requirements listed for the category? Does anybody has any experience? Some thoughts or expert's comment are appreciated..
