One day, I bumped into Sum Off. At first, I thought he was an arrogant snob Nepali guy who was trying to become Angrez by criticizing Nepali culture. First impression, however, isn't the last impression... Slowly, I came to realize he was fun, nice person. Now that I know him for quite a while, I think he's a wonderful writer. I bump into him almost everyday at Sajha and I look forward to it.

Well I used to be a voracious reader and I never liked the work of Samrat Upadhyay.......I read his stuffs and I was so eager to read the book from a writer with the Nepalese background .But....I was really really disappointed...
But sumoff has sth good to come up with.. I guess... I have no idea who he is or wat is his bg but still his writing makes me feel that he is well aware of certain culture of certain Nepalese class and the correlation amongst the Nepalese society and how actually it functions. I can sense some maturity in his writing...and I think his short stories will be really good...will like to know more about you sumoff.... U seem to be intellectually stimulating.....

I agree Kohinoor. I think rest of the guys are jealous of all the complements we're giving Sumoff. Maybe that's the reason they are skeptical of writing anything good about him. Shouldn't be lobhi in saying what is good right??

If you ask me.. i think Deep is a brillant writer. I can start a thread for him any given day.. but i havent/wil not since that might embrass him. AND even if i do.. i wouldnt beg people to do the same as i am doing, i.e compliment him.. and namel all those who dont (reply in my thread) jealous.

Lumi you're only doing sum_off a disfavor by creating this thread. A lot of people have appreciated his stories and they have commented on the threads in question. You on the other hand are just seeking his attention and embarassing him.

Well, I'm sorry if I am embarrassing Sumoff. That is not my intention though. However, I don't think there's anything to be embarrassed about. I'm just trying to give a good writer his due. I don't think it's wrong. I haven't read Deep's writings. I'm all for good reading. I'm not a frequent visitor of Sajha. Sum off inspired me to visit Sajha. I think he deserves some recognition.

sumoff is only a writer... its like hes a writing machine and thats all, no comments ..no response so its okay for lumi to tell how good he is... i think sumoff is good, i read one of his stories.. it was the ekadesi one..
