Uh, okay, this is getting out of hand. So bahuns are to be blamed for all the problems in the country huh? Well then, were the Shahs who ruled Nepal for 200 something years of bahun origin? If you open your history books, you will see that the person who "standardized" the caste system was a Rana, a thakuri. Furthermore, mr king of cambridge, since bahuns are to be blamed for all ills in the country, are we to be blamed for the caste system among Newars as well? Yes, Newars have their own version of the caste system--and supposedly they were here before bahuns--in other words bahuns fled from India after the Muslim invasion, as the story goes. And who was that Malla king(probably a Newar) who raped a preteen girl and got off scott free? So pull that head out of your ass and use that hollow brain of yours for a second. Bahuns have been in "power" for only a decade, and the reason behind it is that bahuns are more educated than the rest of the pack, so to speak. So stop blaming us for all your insecurities, go back to Nepal, increase the literacy rate of your folks, and then come back here to argue.

The reason why Newars hate the king(I don't like the king--just making a point) is that they are living in the past-the good ol' glory days, when Newars had their own kings, who were all replaced by the Thakuris. Secondly, bahuns are overwhelmingly(this is the key word--i know some will point out ganesh man and some other freedom fighters to counter my argument) the ones who brought democracy to Nepal--not newars, not thakuris, not chettris, not gurungs, not tamangs. Hinduism is bahun imposed religion. Bahun is a derivative of the word ब्राह्‌मण (brahmad)

Brahmad means a highly spiritual (not necessarily educated ) being. There arent many of those left today. So noone really is bahun in the correct sense. A chettriya can be brahmad too provided he/she can shun this world's pleasures and work towards healing others.

As far as the bahuns in nepal, it's just an aspect of a cultural system gone haywire. Bahuns are supposed to be pundits, doing pooja paath blah blah because they pass on the learnings to their children. And similarly all other different castes have their own CULTURE. I'VE REPEATED THIS GOD DAMN THING SO MANY FKIN TIMES IN SAJHA!!!!!

Aba Bahuns feel that their teachings will disappear if their daughters or sons go away to some other caste family and similarly other castes feel their culture will vanish if their children will marry someone from a diff. caste.

It is very very disgusting to see such caste hatred, religion hatred in lovely sajha board like this. As I have already written about it, I am compelled to write again for this mess is going very precarious; I am afraid about the stability of Nepal, its people, its society.

Why do we hate each other? Yes, in the past and also now in some places of City too, some conservatives esp from high caste, Bahuns, chhetri deter to eat or drink from the hands of so-called untouchables. Even newars do the same to other minorities newars like–Kasahi, Chyame, Pode, Sarki. Dhobi look down upon Kasahi (butcher class) etc. And Dalits too do the same to other dalits. So they are like the branches of a tree. From top to bottom, the tree is mentally sectarian. Who is to blame for all this? Our mind. Just broaden your minds in this 21st century. I am myself a Bahun. But I love all people–Newar, Chhetri,Tamang, Gurung, Dalit. Even if some guys here abhor me, abuse me with filthy words, I still love him or her because we are all human beings with same red blood, unseen, pure soul.

Well, it is indeed sad to see all these mistrust and hatred among we Nepalis going on for so long. At least now at 21st century being exposed to other ways and education, we should ingnore these things.

After all all religions are just a system for survival by exploiting ingnorant, weak and non-exposed to outside world by fear of socalled God or supreme beings. Well,these all religions started after destruction of ancient civilizations of Atalantis and from remanants of Sumeru statred the building blocks of Sindhu Civilization mixed with orther Iranian , zorastrian and other adjoining areas and ancient societies becoming into Hinduism, Buddhism, Judiasm, Christianity and finally Islam.

Only from the time of Indus Valley Civilizations it took a different distinct form combining mysteries of mighty Kashmir and Tibet what we now called Himalayas. Imagine back in time of 10000 yrs without any electricity and surrounded by dense tropical jungles. So, became the Fire, Water, Rain and Wind became the mistries to the people. Were curious about the origin of being as WE ARE TILL NOW , thus the importance given to LINGUM and GUHESWORI and again still at 21 century WE DONOT KNOW the mystery of functioning of our BRAIN with inherent Electric WAVE inside all living beings, came the MEDITATION to FOCUS this Electric WAVE to CONCENTRATE and try to UNFOLD the SECRETS of our EXISTENCE well thus came this concept of BUDDHISM. I still wonder what kind of sensation Buddha might have experienced with so called enlightenment hope each and every body can attain such experience in such a DOLDRUM TIME.

We are still busy at 21st century trying to UNRAVELL through study and observation of this same NATURAL PHENOMENAN with what we called SYSTEMATIC and SCIENTIFIC way of percieiving things looking for answers for same OLD QUESTIONS i.e. Origin of Life forms, our Existence as Human beings, Sufferings and many other Emotional upheavels during our Life time and finally THIS VERY MYSTERY OF DEATH AND CURIOSITY AFTER DEATH.
