Hey you need to tell your major first, without that I cannot say. Also which particular UM you are talking about? Twin cities, Duluth? And all you people except *, com'on guys don't just go by name and cities. Major matters.

As an alumni I have to stick up for my alma mater, you betcha it's the University of Minnesota aka the U. Don't let the cold scare you!! The U is in the heart of Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St.Paul. So, plenty of things to do and is around a very diverse community. I am sure NYU is just as great but NYC is what it is, you already know what to expect. But if you are looking for a bit more unknown adventure and fun filled fabulous academic experience join the U. Good luck in your venture.

Selecting the university depends on the major. U of M is a better option than NYU if your major is ENGINEERING.

Majoring in Chem. looks like NYU is the popular choice... Minnesota is giving me a full ride with scholarships and NYU is very expensive.. Still deciding...
