I am in OPT right now after having graduated with my Bachelor's degree past May. I am planning on going to Nepal for coming summer before I start my grad school in August. My visa will be expired by then and I will need to reapply for US visa in Nepal with a new I-20 from my future-to-be grad school. What's the chance of getting visa renewed? Is there any possibility of being rejected? Do you know anyone with the same history? Please enlighten me!!

Short circuit, I know many people who have same problems like yours. But unfortunately I don't know even single case that they went back to Nepal, renewed their VISA and came back US again. My suggestion to you is that it is better to go Nepal after completing at least one semester towards your Master degree.

Short circuit, If you have assistantship for masters, then you should not worry about the visa. They never stop the genuine students. But make sure you were never out of status. The only rejected cases I know so far are the ones who were out of status in undergrad. But if you don't have the assistantship, I would suggest you not to go.
