Verdict was given, SBD and PMS are already inside but RCCC doesn't give the copy of verdict to anyone. Why? It seems that RCCC itself is not confident in its decision. Or does it take so long to make a copy of that decision? Even a LEKHANDAS with KAITE handwriting can copy it in half an hour. And we are living in 21st century, but it is hard to believe that in Nepal.

Look at that, Human Rights of Nepal aganist and opposing action of corrupt and criminals people who destroyed Nepal.

That is way.... Human Rights is a easy and free tool of survival for corrupt and criminals crooks of Nepal. It is mis-use of theory, mission and principle of Human Rights.

It might possible that these Human Rights group people get bribery from political parties.

RCCC's working procedures fundamentally wrong: Khatry

Chairman of National Human Rights Commission Nayan Bahadur Khatry, Commissioners Ram Dayal Rakesh and Sudip Pathak...
Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Nayan Bahadur Khatry has said the working procedures of the Royal Commission for Corruption Control (RCCC) are principally wrong.

?The manner is which former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and former minister Prakash Man Singh were convicted is fundamentally wrong,? Khatry said. He added, ?We however haven?t yet received the RCCC verdict.? He did not elaborate.

He was speaking at a regular press conference of the NHRC at its office Thursday.

Speaking at the program, commissioner Sudip Pathak, who has been designated the contact person to handle complaints of Maoist atrocities, said, "The NHRC has already received about five hundred complaints related to Maoist atrocities, but they remain undecided due to the lack of accessibility with the insurgents."

He also urged the Maoist leaders to respond positively and cooperate with the NHRC in providing information related to the complaints.

The NHRC also appealed the warring factions to declare the educational institutions as zones of peace.

ADB seeks additional info on Melamchi verdict:

News from KOL Report

KATHMANDU, Aug 11 - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) in a letter to the Ministry of Finance has asked it to provide detailed information on the July 26 verdict of Royal Commission for Corruption Control (RCCC) on a case regarding alleged financial irregularities in awarding the Melamchi adit access road construction contract.
The bank said the information would assist them in deciding their future course of action.

Michael Stevens, Director of the Integrity Division, Office of the Auditor General, ADB, Manila, also reminded the ministry that the bank?s investigation found no evidence of irregularities.

Stevens has sought to know how the royal anti-graft body based its decision on details that may be unknown to ADB.

The letter addressed to Bhanu Prasad Acharya, secretary at the ministry, says, ?Because RCCC has apparently reached the conclusion that there were some irregularities, we would like to know what additional information the RCCC may have that is currently unknown to ADB.?

The RCCC had rejected the ADB?s report during the hearing last month saying that the reports from ?third parties" would not be entertained as evidence.

ADB is the largest donor to the Melamchi project, with US$120 million in funding.

The project is now facing acute shortage of funds following Norway?s pull out recently. (hb)

I do not trust Human rights group or UN anymore. If they exist where are they and what are they doing. There has been lots of chaos in nepal and there si no one who is stoping ro even trying to stop with action. All they do is talk and talk and big mouth talk but no action.

Kill all the political leaders, Maoist, gyane and paras and start a brand new nepal with honest people. It has to be done wotherwise there is no other way for a peaceful nepal.
