the Snow is here in earnest... and the lanes are beautiful but uninviting...

the swing has been taken off and stored but the shed remains to bear the brunt of the accumulation... i do not want to go to work or play...

the trinkets hung from the pole of a clothesline...hanging and gasping in the dead of winter...

as barren as they are,
the trees do survive...
my soul too is dead
but the sap is waiting
for a sting of
spring's intoxication...
