As far as I know, cricket to me is lazy mens game just like golf.Can't ever c my self engaging in such a slow and monotoneous sport.

So anybody wanna enlighten me as to why this sport is extremely popular in country such as India,Pakistan,South Africa..I have have sometime the game drags for days.So anybody??

u are not the only one, but to a cricket enthusiast nothing is more enthralling to watch and waste time than cricket, cricket is definitely not the same as basketball, american football in terms of pace, but i guess indians and pakistanis and nepalis have lots of time in hand to watch cricket for so long, when i was back home i would die to watch cricket all the time, but coming here and being in college and all, i could not see myself watching cricket and no time for studies and work, that's where i got more interetsed in nfl and nba and all, so i think its just the lifestyle thing that makes cricket popular in countries such as india, pakistan, Srilanka.......i must admit, given the time and the chance, i would still watch india vs pakistan over any nfl/nba/mlb games, actually i am watching this current game on internet while at work........2 in 1..........

But seriously, i am not a pakis fan... i am a supporter of the kiwis..linking that, i was hoping John Wright and his troops will come out winning the game ( atleast win in India) but not now. Wright has done a lot good for India since joining the team 4 years ago...i feel sorry him, his players are not helping him at the moment...typical, indians are asking him to resign from the recent failures...and Guess what?? they want an Aussie coach.. I rememeber with the world cup sucess (not quiet) and one test win againts mighty Aussies in Adelaide last year.. Wright was full of praise he was the man of the moment..and now he is the odd man out.

I wish luck to the black caps against the Aussie, hopefully vettori, fleming and Astle will be fit for the brisbane game..and the bowlers get their act together...2001 success in aust is still fresh in me mind..but it certainly will be a mountain to climb.

yes i miss watching cricket.... this match must have been exciting... chasing 292 and in the end getting that relatively comforatbly with 6 wickets in hand. news says Inzi palyed some fabulous shots during the later stages of the match. Salman Butt.... would like to see more of this young lad.
