Most of the big projects in Nepal are carried out by Indian or Chinese engineering firms. I think that it doesn't have to be that way anymore. There are many educated and capable Nepali engineers. And, there are many experienced young Nepali people from Middle East who are involved in building stadiums in Qatar and other big projects. I think a Nepali Engineering firm with the right leadership and the right talent can really accelarate the pace of building big projects in Nepal. Before you say that Nepali people can't do it. I would like to remind you Europeans and Americans did not know before industrialization. Chinese did not know until 1980s. There was no Iphone 20 years ago. We just need one guy who can persevere through tough times and never give up. And, that guy can be you!

...that thing remind me of that brother from Newyork, who died of corona coz he wasn't admitted by any hospitals in that area, 3 months back. There are more fatalities of Nepalis people living abroad than in Nepal. That doesn't mean Nepal is safe;no place is safe from corona now--just wear masks and be strong mentally and physcialy and not weak and stupid if you like to survive after 2020!

In my opinion, these hospitals in Nepal which doesn't admit the patients should be burned down right now as they are useless and only established for profits and not saving lives. The country is in doldrums as it is the result of many years of bad governance and huge immigration to foreign land. The people with money and good links could bring hospitals to their home but poor and voiceless are having a terrible time. Most suckers who live in foreign shores also starts to swear and bad mouth about their motherland once they got the paper. Nepalis people love to work like an ass 12 to 18 hrs (daily) in foreign land but will not spend couple of hours for their motherland in their lifetime. All these things have coalesced now from many years and become a greater problem...reminds me that quote in the government college of Ktm, which was full of cob webs which says " Bidhya khera tesko gayo...jo chaina rastra-sewak!" Not a pro-nationalist or pro-patriotic but if you can't do good then it's better to shut the mouth too.Any good ideas to help the motherland instead of buying two houses in Alabama and N.Carolina??

@Alias I am starting to doubt our traditional thinking of "सेवा भाव " in today's modern economic system. I am a firm believer that a man (woman) needs a motivation to do work, and today money is the biggest motivator. Otherwise, about 50 lakhs young Nepali people wouldn't have gone to foregein countries to earn money. In my opinion, Nepal should also start paying good salary for working people. This will give people a reason to work hard and as a result it will increase quality and production. Since there will be more production, then Nepal can provide welfare to unfortunate ones.

I agree with Ujl. You should go & lead by example to inspire others than wanting someone else to volunteer for how you think it should be lol

Good point. You should lead by example. Maybe one day I will go, and be part of the Great Himalayan Cable car.
