Probably, the friends and families of Martin O' Malley and the other guy (forgot his name) who dropped out :P On a serious note, it's very disappointing that those people wasted their votes like that and poor Bernie lost by such a small margin. On the bright side, that 1% won't make a huge difference since the delegates are assigned proportionally.

It was on the news that democrat voters change to republican : and I think these party switcher in primary are the game changer, 20% of MA voters switched to republican.

Updated vote count says these two came awfully close to each other. These people were dedicated enough to do the hassle of traveling all the way to voting stations just to throw away their votes. Clinton's 600,041 minus Bernie's 582,801 = 17240 (Difference) Wasted votes = 14,278

I heard that there were 4 candidates on the Massachusetts ballot, the other two being O' Malley and Chaffe (I finally googled his name) and it makes sense since those two guys were the last two to drop out of the race. But who are those 5 other people on the Texas ballot? And Keith Judd's picture on that ballot looks like a mugshot LOL

Lincoln Chafee likely would have preformed fairly well in New England states if he were running in primaries in 1950s to early 1980s. New England (and the north-east in general) used to be the bastion of Rockefeller Republicans like Lincoln Chafee back then. Probably, he is few decades too late.
