Folks,
I'm on the final stages of the F2A visa (petition for wife by green card holder) application for my wife (in Nepal).
NVC is now asking me to submit either original or certified copies of marriage certificate, birth certificate etc. What is a certified document? Do they accept a notarized copy?
I googled certified doc and looks like they are looking for the original. Do I need to send the originals? Has anybody sent originals to the NVC before? Do they return it later?
Thanks.

Send the originals, they will return it at the Embassy in Nepal. If you don't submit originals, they will ask for originals in the interview at embassy.
