Does anybody know how fast the visa stamping process goes on TIA? Any hassels?? Long waiting lines??
I m plannin to stay 35 days. The visa fee for month is about 40 bucks & for 3 months about 100 bucks. Do i need to get that 3 months one? I was wondering if there s any sort Visa entending process available, if does, then where'd I go to add 5 more days of visa on my passport?? Or is that too much of hassels, not worth of savin 60 bucks??

Thanks in advance !!

It takes less than ten minutes. Airline will hand you the application form in plane. Fill it up in plane. 45 days visa would suffice.

Thanks for the info ANS
Do they stamp visa for 45 days as well? When I checked their website last time, all I could see was either a month, up to 3 months or more thn 3 months with multiple entry.

Picklehead, I assumed you are departing from USA.If you have enough time before departure, get Nepalese visa for a month ($40) from Nepalese Embassy, Washington, DC. All you have to do is send your original passport, a filled out visa application form, money order of $40 and paid return envelop. Check out the website of Nepalese Embassy at DC to make sure if any additional requirements need to be met currently. The Nepalese Embassy takes usually 7-10 business days to issue you the visa. Since you are visiting to Nepal for 35 days, you can go to Department of Immigration at Kalikasthan, Kathmandu to extend your visa as many days as you want before your visa will expire. In this way, you can save some money on visa. You can also get the Nepalese visa on your arrival at the TIA in few minutes but its hassle free if you already got the visa on your passport. You might have heard enough about the employees at Immigration department at TIA. They may give you hard time unnecessarily in order to extort money from you by showing any reason. Just my personal suggestion. Have a nice trip to Nepal.
