दक्षिण एसियामा नेपाली महिला सबैभन्दा अगाडि

काठमाडौं । पछिल्लो अध्ययनले दक्षिण एसियाली मुलुकहरुमध्ये नेपालमा हरेक क्षेत्रमा महिला सहभागिताको स्तर सबैभन्दा राम्रो रहेको देखाएको छ । अमेरिकी बहुराष्ट्रिय वित्तिय संस्था मास्टर कार्ड नामक संस्थाले गरेको अध्ययन अनुसार नेपालमा महिला सहभागिता सूचकांक दक्षिण एसियाली मुलुकमा सबैभन्दा बढि छ ।

यस सूचकांकमा नेपाल पहिलो हुँदै कुल ५५ अंक पाएको छ । नेपालपछि महिला सहभागिताको दृष्टिले बंगलादेश दोश्रो स्थानमा छ । उसको ४५.५ अंक छ । तेश्रो स्थानको श्रीलंकाको ४३.८, चौथो भारतको ३८ र पाँचौँ पाकिस्तानको २३ अंक रहेको छ ।

यस्तै महिला नेतृत्वको हिसाबमा श्रीलंका सबैभन्दा तल रहेको छ । सूचकांकमा उसको अंक १२.६ रहेको छ । जबकी नेतृत्वका हिसाबमा दक्षिण एसियामा नेपाली महिला सबैभन्दा अगाडि छन् । यस सूचकांकमा नेपाली महिलाले ४९.६ अंक पाएका छन् । अघिल्लो संविधानसभाको महिला प्रतिनिधित्वको हिसाबले नेपालमा संसदमा महिलाको प्रतिनिधित्व एसिया प्रशान्त क्षेत्रमै सबैभन्दा बढि रहेको टाइम्स अफ इण्डियाले खबर छापेकेा छ ।

दक्षिण एसियामा रोजगारीको हिसाबले बंगलादेशी महिला सबैभन्दा अघि छन् । त्यहाँ हरेक १ सय जना पुरुष रोजगार रहेको ठाउँमा ७५ जना महिला रोजगार छन् । श्रीलंका दोश्रो र नेपाल तेश्रो स्थानमा छ । नेपालमा पुरुषको तुलनामा महिलाहरु ६० प्रतिशत मात्र रोजगार रहेको तथ्यांकले देखाएको छ ।

 I support ashishme:

1. Many women were employed as Maoist Cadres hence improving the employment percentage of Nepalese women.
2. Women have also taken major leadership roles in Maoists units thus improving women leadership.
3. Every cadre including women knows very well about Maoism and Prachandapath. If you ask any of them they will start right from "For constructing something new, the old must be destroyed" and end with "power comes from the barrel of gun". So there is no doubt that women education has improved tremendously.

 Go to hell Maoists!!! Did we forget about other 90% impact that made the country is at the current suitation ? Forget about the people awarness and mobility, education, Golbalization which made the impact for the imporvement ? How many % of maobadi help we talking about ? and where is the data coming from ?

I have this theory that education does not make people wise, it only shows that you have read some books. The more i interact with people the more it seems to be true.

Like it or not, a lot of things have changed after the maoists insurgency erupted...I mean in a positive sense. Not necessarily protraying Maoists as a God. Here is why:

The social upheaval, like ours, shakes the hierarchial set up. People on the bottom of the feed start questioning why things are the way they are...people on the top start being little more careful, let it be for fear. 

Even if we totally forget the politics, you may have seen in the past women and dalits accepting the society's treatment towards them as their fate...a result of their past life. These socio-psychological phenomena did need some sort of shattering off old 'rust'. And Maoists have done exactly that. 

Here is what it's not all about the Maoists: Our society was (is) so messed up with that rusted mentality that any party would/should be taking the lead...which even NC could have done that down the road. It was much needed and It just happened to Maoists...

Being able to see these kinds of results today, yes, a lot of credit goes back to the war....not 100%... but a lof of it...For the one single principle that people started carrying that 'I don't need to accept this'.

Ashisme supporting maoist is one thing but bragging about them is kinda pathetic until n unless you are officially their cadre. I m Dalit n I m really happy now that my caste n my people has been given opportunity to go xchool n colleges later. Can u tell your leaders to eradicate caste system. First, stop feeling inferior yourselves. It's not nepal some 20-25 years ago. New generations of nepal do not believe in caste system except few radical brahmins.....wait some more time and there will all that caste system crap be gone.
