विनोद चौधरी विश्वका अर्बपतिको सूचीमा पर्ने पहिलो नेपाली

२१ फागुन, काठमाडौं । अमेरिकी पत्रिका फोर्बसले सर्वजनिक गरेको विश्वका अर्बपतिहरुको सूचीमा नेपाली उद्योगी विनोद चौधरी पनि पर्नु भएको छ । यससँगै उहाँ नेपालको पहिलो अर्बपति भएको पत्रिकाले दावी गरेको छ ।

फोर्बसले तयार पारको १ हजार ४ सय २६ जनाका चौधरी पनि पर्नु भएको हो । १ अर्बका मालिक ५७ वषर्ीय चौधरी १ हजार ३ सय ४२ औं नम्बरमा हुनुहुन्छ ।

अर्बपतिहरुको सूचीमा सबैभन्दा धेरै अमेरिकाका ४ सय ४२ जना छन् भने यूरोपका ३ सय ६६, एसियाका ३ सय ८६ रहेका छन् ।

७३ अर्ब सम्पत्ति रहेका मेक्सिकोका कालोस सिल्म हेलु लगातार चौथो वर्ष पहिलो नम्बरमा छन् भने अमेरिकी विल गेट्स ६७ अर्ब डलरका साथमा दोस्रो् स्थानमा छन् । यस्तै २३ विलयन डलरका सम्पत्ति भएका गुगलका मालिक ल्यारी २० औं नम्बरमा परेका छन् ।

कोइ पाखेहरु चाई नेपालमा 14/14 घण्टा loadshedding  हुन्छ तेसैले केहि गर्न सकिन्न भन्दै खुबै जान्ने भई टपल्छ ........ नाच्न आउदैन आँगन टेदो  ....

 We get 1 nepali out of 30 millions listed as billionaire with prevailing 14 hrs of loadshedding. But you missed a point here. We could have 100 more in that list had there been no loadshedding at all.  

This is quite an acheivement.

About a month ago, a ABCD asked me if there are any billionaire on Nepall. I said, " No..I don't know" I doubt we have any & will have soon.  as I was really not expecting it. But I am so glad to read it this morning on MSN news..

As soon I read it, I highlighted the new billionaire from Nepal para & sent it to him

VAT को कमिसन पाउने देश प्रेमी अनि VAT चोरेको छलेर कामाएको देख्ने सबै देसद्रोही ? हैन यो प्राथमिक स्कुल पदने बिद्यार्थी वा गाउले जनतालाई देशप्रेमी को हो भनि चिनाउन खोज्ने नेपाल का कोहि महा-पण्डित हुन् ?

बिनोद चौधरी को फोर्ब्स मा नाम लेखाउने लालायितले गर्दा उसले एउटा कुख्यात, ठग, भ्रस्टचारी, ब्यापारीको बाटो मात्र देख्यो| उसले एउटा गरिब देशको राजस्व ठगेर हजारलाई दुख दिएको हुनसक्छ| यस्ता पपुलारिटी समयको भेल मा अपशोचमा परिणत हुन पनि सक्छ र यसमा कसैलाई गर्ब गर्ने ठाउँ हुदैन बरु धिक्कारको पत्र बन्ने चाहिँ सम्बवाना भने धेरै हुन्छा|

I will try not to be partial, but have to admit that Mahato's portfolio looks much impressive than Chaudhari's.

But let's be real, Mahato was also a beneficiary of right time right place; a newly formed country with connections with powerfuls. But for a person who is not a native Russia, to be able to control so many industries and wealth proves he also deserved it.

No doubt Mahato has more wealth than Chaudhari and doesn't seek Forbes popularity.

Another reality is that these two didn't become billionaire merely from their business in Nepal. Mahato's business ventures are well known; but Chaudhari expanded his wealth by overseas investments in hotel business. Nepal is yet to create her own billionaire, who actually profited from ventures within the country.

 how about this guy balaram chainrain who had bought portsmouth fc, is he not a billionaire?
