No, it doesn't. I had some Indian and Pakistani friends who had a dui but got H1b without problems. Only if you are a repeat offender or have a morally questionable crime (theft, fraud etc) under your belt then you'd have a problem. If everything else is fine you'll have no issues with that.

What abt selling alcohol to a minor? It is Class B/C misdemeanor just like DUI.
They take u to jail, take fingerprints and will be on record. Does this person will have diffuclty in securing H1B or GC for that matter?

For GC, you have to mark yes in the check box because there is a question asked in the from and you have to include the Disposition of the offense from the court. Your final GC approval will go through an interview process. At lease that is what happend to me and agent told me in the interview that is the reason why I was called for the interview. She also asked me if I have more than one DUI which I did not and they also asked me the current job verification letter in the inverview and approved.

Yes, you have to mention any convictions in your H1b application. You'll be safe until you're in the country, if you wish to travel outside, then they'll ask you a few questions at the port of entry, but if you're job is genuine and your DUI was a one-off mishap, you'll be fine. Many people have DUIs, don't worry about it :).
